We listen to a Mike Millard master of Chicago in San Diego on April 2, 1976, touring in support of their greatest hits album. There are so many hits, many I'd forgotten existed. This one was a treat.

We revisit May 3, 1971 and Led Zeppelin's show in Copenhagen, with a speed corrected audience recording. This is Zeppelin at the top of their game, Robert Plant especially. We hear Dazed and an epic Whole Lotta Love with a million medleys. Legend.

We listen to an audience recording of Led Zeppelin's last concert, with John Bonham. July 7, 1980 in Berlin. A super cool Trampled Underfoot and an out of this world unique Whole Lotta Love. I prefer this to the soundboard.

We listen to another Mike Millard master recording. The Rolling Stones in Oakland on 11/4/89. A great show from the Steel Wheels tour, the first tour after a 7 year break from touring. We hear Undercover, Tumbling Dice, and Rock and a Hard Place.

We listen to a wonderfully remastered soundboard recording from Jan 11, 1969, of Led Zeppelin at the Fillmore West in San Francisco. Great sound and a great performance of a hungry young band making their name known. We hear I Can't Quit You, Dazed, and How Many More Times. Amazing.

We listen to a Mike Millard master of Elvis Costello at the Wiltern Theater in LA, on June 3, 1991, on his Mighty Like A Rose tour. A fantastic recording of an excellent show. Amazing band and setlist. I love it.

Jonesy! We listen to Nov. 1, 1999 at the Joint in Las Vegas on the Zooma tour. This is a soundboard recording and both the sound quality and performance are excellent. We hear No Quarter, Nosumi Blues, and Levee. Amazing musician.

We listen to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers from July 29, 1989 in Los Angeles, taped by Mike Millard. This is a fantastic show with a great setlist, and high energy. Peak Petty Popularity.

We listen to an underappreciated show from March 10, 1975 in San Diego. Led Zeppelin plays a great show with lots of high spirits and fun. We hear Over The Hills, In My Time of Dying, and Trampled Underfoot.

We listen to a great Mike Millard recording of Bob Dylan at the Greek Theatre, on Sept 10, 1989. The setlist is great as is the performance. We hear Don't Think Twice, Simple Twist of Fate, and To Ramona.

We celebrate the 50th anniversary of Led Zeppelin's first tour of Japan by listening to a compilation made by Led Zeppelin Boots, of tracks from this tour. You won't find better. One of the tracks we listen to is a Whole Lotta Love with complete performances of Good Times Bad Times, You Shook Me, and How Many More Times in the middle. It's amazing.

We listen to what may be Mike Millard's last recording, Keith Richards at the Palladium Jan. 23, 1993. Solo Keith has a great band and is in great spirits this night. A great show from a legend by a legend.

We listen to tracks from Zephead315's audience compilation of Earls Court shows from 1975. Great performances and atmosphere. We hear Trampled Underfoot, No Quarter, and Tangerine (with 4 part harmony). Amazing compilation!

We hear John Paul Jones & avant-garde artist Diamanda Galas in LA on Dec 4, 1994. Great stuff. Pete Thomas on drums. Wild screaming and deep bass beats prevail. Very interesting as always from Jonesy.

We listen to a compilation of best of Led Zeppelin's Europe 1973 tour. This was the band's instrumental peak, and the songs we hear confirm that. SIBLY, WLL, and The Ocean are heard. Blazing hot tour.

This is a rare reunion show from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young in a benefit for their drummer Dallas Taylor, on 3/31/90 in Pasadena, Ca. It's a mostly acoustic show with all the hits and everyone is in great voice. A Mike Millard Master.

We listen to Led Zeppelin playing Ulster Hall, Belfast NI on March 5, 1971. These are the very first live performances of songs from Zep 4 ever. We hear Black Dog, Stairway, and a Ramones level Rock and Roll. Robert's voice is unreal. Never better.

This is Heart of Markness after Darkness as we listen to Bob Dylan at Earls Court on June 20th, 1978, on what was called his alimony tour. The show is amazing even with radically altered arrangements of some classics. Good stuff.

We listen to 2 out of the 3 songs that Mike Millard recorded of the Pretenders in Pasadena on Sept 5, 1981. Bruce Springsteen joins them for a rollicking encore of Higher and Higher. One wishes Mike was able to record the whole show. Brilliant!

I talk with author Christy Alexander Hallberg about her novel Searching For Jimmy Page, which I've read and is wonderful. She talks about visiting Headley Grange, Bron Yr Aur, and other meccas for Zep fans, and how they colored her character Luna's odyssey. Seriously, this book is awesome.

We listen to a glorious recording of Led Zeppelin's first show in 2 years, July 23, 1979 in Copenhagen. The band plays with a relaxed intensity and Jimmy plays like 1973 again. Celebration Day, No Quarter, and Achilles are heard. Great one!
