The Hallows Church

In Luke 8:16-21, we explore what it means to have a noble heart rooted in the gospel and see the Word in action. As Jesus explains, hearts rooted in the Word reveal their faith to others, listen to the Word, and practice their faith in the context of community.

Jesus told parables often to those around him. While many did not understand, some did and were moved by Jesus’ compassion and mission for the lost. This week in our study of Luke 8:4-15, we will explore how the Parable of the Sower teaches about the conditions of the heart, how our hearts receive the Word, and why the gospel takes root in a willing and noble heart.
