I believe in the holy catholic church.  Have you ever wondered why we say this in the Creed?  These are the most misunderstood words of the entire Creed, but they are every bit as significant as any other line. Understanding what the church is and how it is both “holy” and “catholic” is central to understanding (read: remembering) who God calls us to be. 

As Christians, we believe that God is one God revealed in three persons-- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
