090: The Power of Proximity 05.04.2023 26:20
There's a phrase that says you are the sum of the five people you spend the most time with. I'm not sure how true this is, but I know there is a lot of power in being around people. Putting yourself around people that are further along than you can have a huge effect on helping you progress.
089: Belief Follows Action 18.03.2023 16:09
How many things have you had trouble starting becuase you didn't believe in the outcome? There is a simple, but often not easy formula to follow. Even if you don't believe you can achieve something, if you start working towards it, then get some results, you'll start to believe. Keep going, even when shit gets hard and eventually you'll believe in it.
088: You Get What You Focus On 09.02.2023 12:54
You've likely seen this happen where you decide to buy a certain car or something like that, then all of a sudden, you're seeing them everywhere. Today, we talk about how focusing on negative or positive things can have a similar effect. The more you focus on negative the more you see, so why not focus on positive things to see more of that?
087: Actions Over Goals 27.01.2023 11:36
Setting goals is great, but what do you need to do on a daily basis to get them done? Today we talk about focusing on your daily actions that move you forward.
086: You Might Not Have Time 01.01.2023 15:17
I've been thinking about time a lot lately. On one hand, you could look at things like Gary Vee where he says you have a lot more time than you think you do. Sometimes I think, "man I'm almost 50 and I'm not where I feel I should be", but the way Gary looks at it is, I got a shitload more life left to make things happen. I agree with this to a certain extent. The reality is, we may not have the ti...
085: Mystery Beef 10.11.2022 17:56
How many beefs have started over complete misunderstandings? I would imagine more often than not, these are how they start. Then we jump in and fire back, which makes it worse. The cycle continues until it is resolved in one way or the other. There is a famous quote by Viktor Frankl: "Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response...
084: Don't Burn The Spot 02.11.2022 13:31
We have a phrase in graffiti that goes "Don't burn the spot". It's one of the unwritten rules of the game. In general it's meant to keep people from fucking up things for other people. What if we applied this thinking to other aspects of our lives? Treating little things that we may not think they matter as if they do.
083: Developing the skill of quieting your mind. 27.10.2022 15:06
There's a simple way to quiet your mind, but it takes a lot of practice. Like all skills, it is also perishable and requires regular maintenance. In this episode, I'll share with you the basic meditation practice I've been using for over a decade and how you can get started developing the skill for yourself. Sign up for my newsletter. I promise not to spam you with offers, or any bullshit. I gener...
082: Prioritize and Execute 19.10.2022 7:54
We all get overwhelmed at times. Sometimes it gets to the point where it causes inaction. Everything seems to be occupying your mind at the same time. With everything feeling the same importance, it's nearly impossible to decide how to move forward. This is where one of the laws of combat can be applied. Decide on the priority and execute. I learned about this from the book The Dichotomy Of Leader...
081: Three Things That Improved My Life In All Areas 06.10.2022 18:36
If I had to break down three daily habits that have drastically improved my life, it would be the three things I discuss in this episode.
080: The Action Is the Goal 28.09.2022 13:43
Sometimes—maybe even most of the time—making the action the goal rather than focusing on the actual goal is the best way to go. It can be overwhelming when you have big goals to get paralyzed by the enormity of it all, but if you focus on the day to day actions required to achieve it, it can really help you continue moving forward.
079: Personal Excellence Is the Solution 22.09.2022 11:57
If you're committed to making the world better, the best way to do it is starting with yourself. Being committed to personal excellence will not only improve your life, but it will spread to those around you. Developing yourself isn't just about you. It's about anyone that is paying attention to you. It's about being the example of what is possible so other people can believe they can do the same.
078: Change Your Past 14.09.2022 12:14
An interesting concept about how you can control your past. It just depends on how you look at time. Today is tomorrow's past, so how would you like to look back on it? Check out this week's Graffiti Machine Podcast episode where I get into this.
077: Momentum 31.08.2022 13:03
A lot of us find ourselves stuck waiting to be motivated, inspired, or somehow pushed into action. Rather than waiting, you can create this motivation by building momentum.
076: Distracted 23.08.2022 23:25
Our current way of life can be full of distraction. I allowed a lot of it to get me off track. This episode, I talk about being too distracted, then what I'm doing to get my brain out of the fog of distraction and back into focus.
075: What are the odds? 21.07.2022 13:56
The odds of us an individuals is so low, it can't really be measured. If you look at your life and the things you have, it's possible that any number of things could have either happened, or not happened that would have completely changed everything. It's something we can look at to maintain perspective. We could have so easily never existed, so why not be happy every day just to be here? Graffiti...
074: Negative Thoughts, Positive Action 12.07.2022 12:03
Negative thoughts are very common. There is research that says that our brains look for negativity for survival. Back when we were in the food chain, we had to pay attention to things to avoid becoming some predator's meal. Now, we have less concern about this kind of thing, but our brains are still the same. Negative stress and anxiety often comes in the form of negative "what if" questions that...
073: Are you interested or committed? 05.07.2022 24:49
Often times we try to do something and set ourselves up for failure because we "try" to do it rather than commit. It seems like a subconsious way of giving ourself an out in case we want to give up. If we commit, we know it's going to hurt more if we give up. Join Our Community https://graffiti.machinestudio.com/crew Follow Bus on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/bus166/

Historically, mentorship has been a crucial aspect of the graffiti culture. Critical knowledge is passed down from generation to generation and the culture is strengthened because of it.
071: Rules of the Game 28.05.2022 16:25
Why do the rules of the graffiti game exist?

068: It's Gonna Suck Either Way 03.05.2022 10:08
We're often faced with situations where the work required to get the results we want is going to suck, but the results you will get if you don't get the work done sucks more. Why do we choose instant gratification knowing that we will pay the price later?
067: Lies 25.04.2022 20:05
Your life will improve if you commit to being honest at all times. This includes the little bullshit lies we tell to get out of things or make ourselves look better.
066: Act on Your Good Thoughts 19.04.2022 9:10
In chapter 1 of How Successful People Think, John C. Maxwell mentions that our ideas have a short shelf life and we need to act on them before they expire. He quotes World war 1 flying ace Eddie Rickenbacker "I can give you a six-word formula for success: Think things through—then follow through." How many great, potentially life changing ideas do we let expire?
