Jesus said that “anyone with faith in Him” would do the things He was doing, and greater things than He had done.  What was He talking about?

Miracles are not so a Christian can get whatever he wants.  God does miracles, rather, to bring glory to Himself.  

Jesus was not just a rabbi, , but God, teaching of Himself.  What does this mean for us?

Jesus commands His people to love one another as an essential action of being a member of His Church. This mutual love identifies Christians, has a great function in their lives, and is defined by Jesus’ own life.

God delights to show His mercy to undeserving sinners, which He demonstrated in Jesus’ death.

The world discards Jesus, and not by good thinking.  But the world needs Jesus, so Christians spread the news about Him in numbers of ways.

Christians are called “priests” by God, and, like Jesus, our great high priest, we are to love our brothers and sisters in the Church by serving.

Christians are looked down upon by nonbelievers, who should instead be desiring what Christians have from God.

Christians can be rightly confident about their faith in Jesus.

The Spirit of God means belief or disbelief, healing or disrepair.

There's a key component to understanding Jesus:  it's the Old Testament exile to Babylon for the people of God (think:  Daniel) and three things God had promised His people at the time He restored them.  Jesus, in His descending to earth, begins the completion of the end of the exile.  Get this concept in your head, and the Old and New Testaments—and Jesus—will start to fit together and make sense...

While this life often brings hardship and mourning, if Jesus is your king, you have modified comfort in this life and complete comfort in the life to come.

Just as the Father preserved Jesus (in Egypt) and brought Him back into the Promised Land, so today He preserves believers (in the Church) until He brings them into the final Promised Land, the New Heavens and Earth.

Jesus says the cross is a marker of how Satan will be driven out completely from the earth (and the presence of Christians) when Jesus comes back and establishes the New Heavens and New Earth.

The cross gives us a preview of how, at Jesus’ return, judgment will come upon the world.  This fact benefits Christians now.

How the cross affects this era, between Jesus' ascension to heaven and His return to earth. Specifically, how is "judgment on the world" and how is "Satan driven out" in our era?

Jesus said that with the cross, judgment was coming on the world and Satan would be driven out. How was this true in Jesus’ death and ascension to heaven 2,000 years ago? The answer is good news to believers today.

The Church proclaims a Jesus on the cross, a thing of shame to the world.  Why does it do this?

Jesus is a king who came to earth not to receive glory, but to die for His people, a group from all walks of life and all spots on the earth, so that He could bring them to heaven to be with Him.

Jesus is worthy of your worship. Why?

Know as a Christian that doing good and believing in Jesus will bring you persecution, just as it did for Jesus. Knowing this will help you endure it.

Receiving the gospel requires humility, when in our souls we are proud and want recognition.

What is the motivation for not believing the gospel?  People reject the good news (the gospel) not for intellectual or factual reasons, but because Jesus is king (the Christ).

Jesus hates death, but is God and the giver of life.

Life is not about you, and realizing this can mean your dealing with personal hardship well.
