This lesson is an "antidote" for anything upsetting. The question is will we use it? "I could see peace instead of this," establishes peace as our own decision. Sondra and Markus discuss this lesson and get us on the right track to using it to diffuse any upsetting thoughts that cross our mind. 

The shift in perception away from the ego's "way of looking" toward the Holy Spirit's "way of looking at the world" is the subject of this Lesson. Sondra & Markus discuss this pivotal shift, and the importance of making it. 

This is a Lesson about true "cause and effect," and also about 100% responsibility on our part for making up the world we are "seeing." The ultimate "projection," the way we see our world is a refection of our own frequencies and desires. It is within ourselves that we can change this world we see. If something is "upsetting," we have made it so. And we can equally transmute any situation to peace...

This lesson gets us out of "victimhood" if we are willing to take responsibility for our thoughts. Our thoughts and the frequency of our thoughts attract other frequencies that are an exact match to any situation. Sondra and Markus explore the areas in their life that seem difficult and upsetting, and get to the real reasons underneath the feeling of "being a victim." 

The fundamental relationship between the Mind and what we "see" is further strengthened in this discussion of Lesson #30. This is a continuation of yesterday's Lesson #27, "Above all else I want to see." Can we see things with the eyes of wholeness? Can we see the true nature of things? In this Lesson, the beginning of true vision is given to us. We want to see the purpose of the universe in what we see. This is the day we begin to see the transcendental nature of things. 

This Lesson is the beginning of true vision. Sondra & Markus discuss Lesson #27, "Above all else I want to see." Holy Vision is something we must want more than anything else in order to have it. Sacrifice of any kind is not necessary. Vision has no "cost," other than the unequivocal desire to have it more than anything else. 

This Lesson gives us a clear picture of how "attack thoughts" we "project outward" are actually attacking us. We are attacking ourselves when we have concern or anger about any situation. Are we willing to see this whole thing differently? Our safety relies on us giving up our concerns and "attack thoughts." 

The first lesson that introduces us to the concept of the "ego," a false self we made up to replace the Self God Created. This is not our real Self, and it has "personal goals" that prevent us from knowing this real Self. In this discussion, Sondra & Markus discuss lesson #24, "I do not perceive my own best interests." We need to give up the interests we think are our "best interests" in order for the Holy Spirit to give us something new, something truly in our best interests. 

WOW. Here is the beginning of seeing that we have actually projected the "hell" we see in the world. Every "attack thought" we have contributes to the external conflicts we observe "out there." Sondra and Markus give a lively discussion of Lesson #23 in A Year I Give to God. 

In this Lesson we see the aspect of our thinking that projects time and impermanence onto things. It asks us to say, as we are looking at things, "I see only the perishable; I see nothing that will last." As a result of this kind of seeing, we a in fear, believing in non-existence—or "death." Markus and Sondra discuss lesson #16 in ACIM: "I have no neutral thoughts." In this dialogue we see that thought is never idle, and it is always assessing and judging things according to its preferences. To see the nature of thought itself is to judge, is the prerequisite to coming to a still mind. 

The theme of projecting images is discussed. Sondra and Markus explore the inherent meaning of things, and the importance of giving up our "images" of things we have projected and made. There may be "light" around the things we see when we stop projecting these "images." 

If God did not create a meaningless world, then where did it come from? Sondra and Markus discuss this important Lesson in this beginning section of "undoing" in the Workbook of A Course in Miracles. A "meaningless world" is a projection of our misperceptions that make up a fearful world, a conflicting world, an unsafe world. God did not create that world, and so it does not really exist.
