UCSB wins a thriller on Friday day vs UC Irvine but falls in the series, Gauchos sit in second place in the BigWest 30-16 (21-11) - Today we sit down with Coach Checketts to review the weekend, discuss the upcoming UCLA series and having family and friends back in the stands.  The UCSB Analytics come on to pass out awards and we review the 19 former Gauchos playing in Minor League Baseball.

Gauchos win the series vs their rivals from San Luis Obispo and improve to 29-13 (20-8 BigWest) heading into the big weekend against UC Irvine.  On this weeks pod we have weekend highlights and we had a chance to talk to John Newman about his walk-off single vs CP and his big plays against Long Beach.  Then JD Callahan talks about his great start on Sunday helping to lead the Gauchos to the series...

On this week's pod we recap the Long Beach series with Christian Kirtley & Clayton Hall, 2 heroes from the dramatic 12 inning, 8-5 win on Sunday.  Then UCSB Analytics joins to break down the key moments of the weekend including the Sprinkle Slam, Boone's 10 K's, and the crazy 9th inning.  UCSB sits at 26-12 (17-7 BigWest) with 5 weeks remaining in the regular season.  

Gauchos take 3 of 4 from UC San Diego and improve to 24-10 (15-5 BigWest).  For this week's pod we decided to revisit the pregame interviews from the weekend series with RF Zach Rodriguez (32:01), 3b Cole Cummings (40:02) & SS Jordan Sprinkle (45:07) who were some of the offensive heroes vs the Tritons, plus we pass out Week 9 awards with UCSB Analytics.

We're halfway through the 2021 season and the Gauchos sit 1 game back of first place in the BigWest Conference at 12-4, 21-9 overall.  Gerry Fall joins us once again to review the first half and discuss the weekend series win vs CSUN.  The UCSB Baseball Analytics jumps on to offer their weekend awards.

With their 11-4 win on Saturday, the Gauchos secured the 300th career win for Head Coach Andrew Checketts who is our first guest on this week's pod as we discuss the weekend series split with Cal State Fullerton and talk about some of the best wins of the last 10 years.  Then UCSB Analytics reviews what was an impressive weekend at the plate for the Gauchos.

UCSB Analytics joins the pod to recap the Gauchos' Week 4 series with San Francisco; 3 big wins including a 14-inning epic that included a lightning delay, next day restart, and 4 Gaucho comebacks in the 9th inning or later.  Weekend performance awards are given out plus we look ahead to the first BigWest Conference series vs Cal State Fullerton.
