Actions often speak louder than words

Where and how can we find satisfaction? David had incredible ups and downs, but he seemed to be able to find it. We can spend our lives earnestly seeking ENOUGH, but how will we know when we've found it? As we experience God and remember his goodness, ENOUGH might actually be ENOUGH. 

Repentance is a word we hear often in church, yet its true meaning is far deeper and more transformative than we realize. True repentance is not a work of man but God’s transforming work in a surrendered heart. True biblical repentance, as modeled in Psalm 51, is a three-step journey—confessing our sins, receiving God’s restoration, and responding with a transformed life.

Psalm 27 is not theory. It’s not a feel-good song on easy days when everything’s going your way. It’s the battle cry of a man who has been through the fire—who knows what it means to face enemies on every side, betrayal close to home, and the crushing weight of personal loss. 

Psalm 23 is personal, passionate, powerful because its authentic, and real. It highlights our vulnerability, our need for protection from a shepherd. Someone who will watch out for us, who will lead us in paths of righteousness.

Psalm 17 is a prayer of David seeking God's protection and justice, asserting his innocence and asking to be delivered from wicked enemies. He trusts in God's love and looks forward to being satisfied by beholding God's face in righteousness.

There are moments when God feels genuinely absent from us--even though He is sovereign over our suffering, and chooses to vindicate his people. Because God is sovereign, we can trust Him to work our suffering for good—even when He hasn’t done it yet.

David's time drew near. He passes on the throne to his son Solomon...You don't have a choice in leaving a legacy. Everyone leaves one either good or bad.

David, had time on his hands, but on his mind he was filled with pride. Somehow he believed he was above consequences.
