If God is all good and all powerful why is there evil? God is love, love requires freedom. Freedom means opting out of God’s goodness = evil. Our uniqueness which makes possible a unique relationship with God is the source of our self-awareness and our pride [rebellion from God] = human evil. Our evil is supercharged by supernatural evil – Satan. The cross is God’s answer to the existence of evil.

We all have our perceptions of who God is. But who is He really? Well, the Bible tells us in no uncertain terms that God is good, and that He is using His goodness to restore you. God’s goodness is intended to lead you to repentance. He is calling you home. He is bringing you back to your original design – a person made in God’s image.

Have you had negative experiences in church? We all have. But Jesus loves the church and he wants you to be an active part in helping it become what He designed it to be – the greatest force for good in the earth!

Life is hard. Jesus told us it would be. But He also promised that if we would remain faithful and finish our race that God would be glorified and we would be rewarded.

The only time he abandons the power is when he is in his natural element – Athens and intellectualism.
