We compensate all of the time for physical reasons.  Have a sore foot, you will favor the other. But when we compensate for spiritual matters, that is where we may fall short. 

Trying to determine the faith of someone can be a slippery slope.  Yes, we will know they are Christians by their love and if we see the fruit of the spirit, but all have sinned and fall short of God's glory.  Passing judgment on someone is forbidden if we look at appearances only.

How many times do we limit ourselves because we don't believe something about ourselves that God believes. We can hold ourselves back without even realizing it.
