The travellers enjoy the peculiar hospitality of the donkey folk and prepare to continue their journey through the enchanting and unfamiliar countryside beyond the town.

In which our brave travellers encounter a strange and sinister band of two-faced creatures called the Scoodlers, whose curious habits and frightening threats put the little party in a most uncomfortable plight. Amidst feasting and theatrical amusements, the travellers depart with a peculiar promise and a cautious forewarning of strange beasts ahead, leaving them both charmed and uneasy in equal measure.

In which our companions enjoy a modest but pleasant luncheon and set off once more, guided by the lively Rainbow’s Daughter towards a curious city inhabited by donkeys with peculiar habits and attire. They enter this noisy and strange place, where courteous donkeys, proud of their wisdom and accustomed to greeting visitors with high ceremony, prepare to present them to their grand king.
