This week we’re still taking aim at the Snyder and anti-Snyder cults, because neither of them will stop acting stupid on social media, reminding all the X-Men ‘97 fans that FOX X-Men had some gems, whether they admit it or not, our customary watch updates on Batman, Star Trek TNG and others, and a movie that proves it’s all subjective? This week features a revelation about why conspiracy theories about Nathan Fillion’s words, assumptions about Zack Snyder’s extended cut of Sucker Punch, and X-Men ‘97 fans trashing FOX X-Men en masse, are all even more meaningless in the grand scheme of things than we might think. Paying respects to the original Colonel Tigh from BSG 1978, analyzing the brilliance of Michael Rosenbaum’s recent sentiments on Rotten Tomatoes, revealing truths about the obsession with Zack Snyder hatred, the future of Netflix under Dan Lin, and the one thing I took from the latest Deadpool and Wolverine trailer. My somewhat spoilery thoughts on Alex Garland’s latest controversial film that’s really only a controversy depending how you decide to take it if you see it. Because I had to record this episode BEFORE WB dropped the new Joker trailer, I shared my in depth thoughts on Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer MCU casting, Nelson Peltz’s defeat at the hands of Iger and the Disney board, and Drew Goddard’s new plans for The Matrix franchise. My double-billed spoilery thoughts on the latest Monsterverse movie, the trouble we had trying to see it and how I compare it to a certain wing of films in the MCU that I have mixed opinions on, as well as Dev Patel’s John Wick-esque directorial debut that goes way harder than I ever expected it to in the best way. This week I ask for honest opinions about the reason I didn’t see Godzilla X Kong, offer another rant about new Scooper Madness clickbait on Threads, and question why people are gatekeeping generation designations before gushing over some new Star Trek news. This week features plenty of talk about new trailers for Beetlejuice, The Penguin and other movies and shows, a milestone for watch progress on Batman TAS, multiple reasons to sign up for DC Universe Infinite again, and a possible road trip to Alamo Drafthouse among other things. My thoughts on the new teasers for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, The Penguin, Doctor Who, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, the racist friend of Ike Perlmutter that wants to fire Kevin Feige, and the reboot meme that equals an instant block. My spoiler-filled review of the latest and greatest Ghostbusters movie, the silly reason the critics and some die-hard fans don’t like it, and how I’m rooting for the general audience to metaphorically smack them in the face. This week we’re all getting hyped for The Acolyte, singing the praises of X-Men 97 in spoiler free form since some of us are still watching the original show first, and more watch updates for Batman TAS, Star Trek TNG and other shows as always. After hitting a record number of likes on my Gina Carano Threads post, I decided to break the whole thing down and fully explain why she’s made her own mess with being “unhireable” in Hollywood, and then gush over the new Acolyte trailer and rant about fans impatience over the new Superman suit reveal. A decent bit of Oscar talk, plenty of thoughts on the Batman Beyond fandom noise, how 2025 is The Year Of Superman, what continuity could look like in the DCU, one of the most emotionally deep episodes of Batman TAS, and a rant on how “World’s Finest” has been ruined by DC gatekeepers. Contact Ray at: EMAIL: ray@theflitecast.com THREADS: @theflitecast FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/TheFliteCas...

My full thoughts on The Oscars that I didn’t watch, including Oppenheimer’s dominance, the sad Oscar tradition that helped Lily Gladstone lose to Emma Stone, why Cord Jefferson’s speech is on the money, and fans grousing over Batman Beyond, Peacemaker continuity, and The Batman II’s new release date. We’ve got plenty of reaction to SUPERMAN, his new/old logo and the DCU’s Perry White, plus a final Star Trek original crew watch update, some classic Batman TAS episodes and a VERY important question about the Dune franchise. I’m talking about the movie now known as Superman, releasing in 2025, that retro/new S logo, the DCU’s Perry White confirmed, and some Marvel talk about Dakota Johnson’s CBM comments and Bob Iger sounding too much like David Zaslav when it comes to Marvel and Disney movies these days.
