Is it time to call John Cena a full-fledged actor and forget his WWE days? How concerned should we be about Batman and Superman entering the public domain within the next decade? And how old should a movie be to qualify as a classic? These are just a few of this week’s discussion topics on FLITE CHAT. The penultimate episode of Peacemaker’s second season…but could it be the final season? Especially given how this week’s episode ended? And does John Cena deserve an Emmy for introducing us all to the “caterwaul?” Plenty of thoughts on that and more this week on FLITE BOX. How crazy was that last episode of Peacemaker? Is there any game less playable than Barbie on the NES? Why are the Detroit Lions hot and the Detroit Tigers not? All of those questions answered among many others in this week’s listener feedback show. We saw it coming, we predicted it, and now it’s official. Was the first big twist of Peacemaker Season 2 effective, or was the major cameo appearance a bigger deal? I breakdown all of it in a LOADED episode this week. The FliteCast is BACK, and I’m paying respects to Robert Redford and congratulating Emmy winners before diving into what might happen, or NOT happen, to DC Studios if Warner Bros. The latest episode of Peacemaker had a lot more happening in the background than in the foreground, including the return of a “DCEU favorite” and a strange detail about everyone in the other universe that is eerily obvious… hopefully. This show really exists to discuss James Gunn’s Superman announcements, so of course, we have to talk about Man of Tomorrow, the next chapter of The Superman Saga in the DCU. I explain how football season is once again interfering with my nerd life, pay my respects to Graham Greene, and then analyze another THR piece that harshly critiques all the ragebaiters’ arguments about Superman and MCU box office. My thoughts on why this week’s character-focused episode of Peacemaker was necessary before the multiversal ramp-up that’s about to happen for the rest of the season. The Anti-Snyder Cult refuses to let the DCEU die, so let’s discuss why they’re still holding onto it more than anyone else.
