Higher grain trade for a Monday, with weather starting to warm up in the western corn belt. Still have weather issues. Friday’s report will start to weigh in on the markets. Short crops long tail… Hog market Is taking a dive-fearful of the highs of April & hopes and risk premium being taking out of the trade. Is there a demand problem?

Lower Friday trade, a lot of volatility in the market place, weather & lack of growing degree days. Many USDA reports coming out including one on the 28th. Come to a discovery on price. Lower yields, lower acreage but not a lot of talk on the demand side. Top countries we are negotiations trade with Japan, China, Mexico, Canada and Russia.

Row crop rebound, double digit beans, above normal precipitation and a cooler forecast has brought less growing degree days. Bins are staying closed with old crop with hopes of higher prices later this year. Cattle & hogs had a tough trading day, feeder cattle lower in part because of higher corn.

Lower grain numbers once again. Double digit losses in beans & wheat. Computer trading & its effects on the market. Adverse weather years are drought years, but not this year not a lot of history on how to trade a excessively wet year so computers are becoming difficult to trade. Pressure in the cattle market.

Beans were up which is a good thing. Weather will continue to be a talk when trying to get the crop in the ground. WASDE report day after reaction. Nebraska is the hot spot for good looking beans. Hogs being liquidated in China, some cleansing of the hog market.

Grains have reacted to some positive news. Also have to realize what the USDA does with these early reports. Not enough information to give a true number. A positive end to the trading day after a mixed overnight trade. Weather will continue to be a marketing factor with lack of planting and possibilities of prevent plant. The cattle market had a rough trade day & the spread of ASF to North Korea.

Higher beans. Lower corn & wheat. A look at the higher numbers in soybeans, delay in the planting progress & moving forward in this growing season. A triple number drop in feeders, bounced back a bit. Not selling more then what you have insurance on for grains.

Double digit higher grains for a Tuesday. A lot of talk of weather, planting delays, crops being flooded. Look at marketing old crop. Window closing to sell milk. Struggles in the hog market.
