God is warning shepherds that He is displeased and is coming to take their kingdoms. They used the people and punished the people by collecting tithes and left the people broke. God is going to cut off the shepherds from access tot he people.

The Scriptures instruct us to teach the next generation about God and all He has done, that the children belong to the ancestors and that we are to teach the children about the law of God and all His mighty works.

I too was surprised when I read Isaiah 48:-9-15. The scripture says God deferred his anger because the shepherds (rulers) have done nothing for the people. Big banks are being bailed out by the people are not bailed out . Turns out God is angry because the people are hurting

Are you chosen? The scripture in Isaiah 49, identifies those who have been chosen from the bowels of our mothers. We have been selected by God to do a work.
