Welcome to our new, shorter, weeklier (Eh?) podcast where we’re going through a selection of news stories from the week. This week we’ve got Resident Evil, Marvel movie stuff, the latest WWE talent releases and a whole bunch of other things.

The wrestling world continues to heat up with all the cross promotional goings on and we're here to fantasy book. We wonder why bother cheating in video games, Stew laments over Doom and Cat gets his first taste of Final Fantasy.

Well Sony finally showed us their gigantic PS5 which will refuse to fit under any entertainment unit so we have a chat about it along with all the games from the totally not pretentious “Future of Gaming” EA might have done a thing in there too so maybe we mention that. We're all locked down so we have ourselves a Discord party. We're talking about what we've been doing to keep ourselves sane from the games and shows we've caught up with to some questionable console emulation. We've also got a bunch of Xbox Series X trailers from the recent inside xbox and after 26 years we get to play Streets of Rage 4. Damn we are old....GRAND UPPA!!!!!!!!!!!

We're all traped in our houses so may as well listen to some Evil G goodness. On this episode we've got Doom Eternal, what the hell is a teraflop, who cares about E3 and season 3 of Castlevania. Sorry for the delay but apparently we just don’t do October, but we’re back just in time for Blizzcon with trailers for Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 as well as apologies and protests. We’ve got Cats hot take on Terminator – Dark Fate, the PS5s new controller gimmicks and something a bit different for this month’s anime recommendations. Excited? You should be.

We’ve all finally seen some gameplay footage for Death Stranding with commentary for the man himself, Kojima, so surely we know what it is now. A strand game, right? Yeah that’s a thing. The best games of the 21st century are discussed along with more love for AEW with the debut of the TV show Wednesday Night Dynamite just around the corner and we taste a pineapple beer which could go either way....

We actually tackle a serious issue on this episode. No really, just listen if you don't believe me. Don't worry we eventually descend into the usual nonsense you all know and love chatting about the fate of Spiderman, hyper for The Mandalorian and our thoughts on The Boys, the latest TV adaption of a Gareth Ennis book. Other than that we have the never ending PR nightmare that is Gearbox's Randy Pitchford's twitter feed, MK11, Playstation 5, video game development crunch and we gotta go fast. Hold on to your butts, Google just made things interesting. On this episode we break down the announcement of Google's Stadia, Stew's got the Boon madness and Colin reveals he didn't like an anime. Hopefully there'll be no toilet related emergencies for ingesting live yeast.

We talk through the details of Nintendo's upcoming online service, casting for The Witcher Netflix show and why Russia blames China for Japan making anime. I guess you'll have to listen to understand that one. We're also sipping an IPA and pondering the potential appeal of video game music.
