Gone too early, we take the much deserved time to put to rest one of the greatest action movie heroes of our generation: Mr Carl Weathers. It's January in Michigan and we all know what that means: snow, ice, cold, and a combination of all three. The weather may make driving hazardous, schools cancelled, and getting your toddler into its car-seat a traumatizing experience, but it ain't all bad. Let's talk about some of the fun things that happen when it snows and remember the joy we felt when the snow emergency alarm sounded!

In honor of Kevin Watts and the 2024 National Championship winners, “The Maize and Blue” we’re celebrating blue things from back in the day. From hateable blue bad guys, blue helicopters, blue toothpaste, and blue monsters, we cover all the retro blue bases.

Starting season 2 off with an episode about things that were (at one time), “new” but came into our lives a bit late…Better late than never, as the old saying goes! Lock in for the debut episode of 2024 and bear with us as we recall some of our favorite, “new” things that aren’t exactly new.

Awkward Thanksgiving moments...They're as consistent as the Lions blowing the Thanksgiving game and a primary Thanksgiving experience that we all share. We've all had them, overcome them, but probably not been able to erase them from our memories. In today's episode, we're crowning the best of the worst (i.e., the most awkward Thanksgiving moment that seems to happen, year in and year out). Gather...

One undeniable fall Michigan experience is that annual family fun trip to the apple orchard. To be “Pure Michigan” means you’ve been to every apple orchard within 50 miles of your home and you’ve tasted the many delicious flavors of the apple farm. The boys drive through a retro rides tournament, in order to crown the fantasy vehicle of their dreams. The dreaded randomizer is back to force a winner and the competition is (once again), deadly.

Nobody likes a bully, so on today’s episode, we’re standing up to and poking fun at some of our favorite retro bullies. The world is full of people who feed on persecuting the vulnerable, but most of those bullies don’t have a super cool podcast to use as a weapon!
