If there is a such thing as a bittersweet win you saw that today in Santa Clara. 49ers snap a 4-game losing streak to their hated rival the Seattle Seahawks but lose their starting QB Trey Lance in the process. Now the man who a month ago was on the way out, Jimmy Garoppolo, is back in and the 49ers were able to pick up victory #1 on the 2022 season.

1st round of the NBA Playoffs is complete and there's plenty to talk about. The Brooklyn Nets going down in flames, the Utah Jazz wasting everyone's time, Dallas making a statement, the resilience of the Phoenix Suns, the maturation of the Boston Celtics, Memphis taking advantage of Minnesota's inexperience, Giannis continues to dominate, and the Warriors are clicking at the right time. 

Shockwaves sent throughout the NFL and the California Bay Area as star wide WR Deebo Samuel requested a trade. Animosity over his usage and potential contract negotiations are the cause of Deebos consternation. Can the 49ers resolve things and keep the best player on the team? Or will they have to part ways with the heart and soul of the team and move forward? 

To say the 2021-2022 Lakers were an embarrassing disappointment would be a gross understatement. Injuries, poor roster construction, and inept play spelled disaster for the purple and gold and a 33-49 season. Plenty of blame to go around for the 11th best team in the Western Conference who had championship aspirations when the season began. 

The slap heard round the world took place the Oscars on Sunday night when a joke from Chris Rock went awry and upset Jada and Will Smith. This has sparked a worldwide debate as to who was right and who was wrong in the situation. Did Will Smith publicly embarrass himself over a simple joke?
