The Department of Metal Antiquities

Music EN ↓ 244 episodes

As a musical genre, heavy metal (and all it's sub-genres) has only existed for 50 years, but in that time there have been a great many happenings that we have collectively forgotten. In this podcast Nik Cameron and Duncan Evans will be going through albums, concerts, etc in a vain glorious attempt to remember it all. We contextualize the subject and then we take it track by track. In the end, we'll tell you if you should spin it or bin it.

DMA #65: Let's Talk About Lou Reed & Metallica's Lulu 11.01.2022

One of the things about our podcast is that we have two hosts with differing opinions. DMA #60: This Is Deep Purple. Are We Sure Though? 07.12.2021

"Come Taste The Band" was the tenth and final album in the original run of Deep Purple. It's funny to call Mark IV part of the original run, but what are ya gonna do? Theme Music: https://eviltriplet.bandcamp.com/album/have-a-n...
