Our ability to love in a world full of noise and difficulty first starts with US spending time with God in silence. Learning to hear his voice in the quiet so that when the storms of life ensue, we can still hear HIM. In hearing His Voice, we will respond or act in charity producing the Fruit of the Spirit in our lives and the lives of those around us.

The big takeaway from this section is that silence is the manifestation of presence. And I would like to make a special point here – we should enter the silence without expectation. Trying not to qualify the level of presence at any given time. It is better to just “be” with an open heart. We may not “experience” and physical sensations, yet we are “stilling” our hearts.

The source and summit of our faith is the Eucharist which is the true and real presence of Jesus - Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. Each time we receive Jesus, we are incorporated into HIM!
