Arts South Dakota Executive Director Jim Spiers joins me this week to talk about the resiliency of artists and performers during the pandemic as well as some financial relief opportunities.

Boss' Comedy Club's Nathan Hults talks about how the pandemic has hurt business as a performer and club manager. Hypnotist/Comedy Magician Jesse Moffitt is usually busy this time of year performing at after prom parties. He addresses how the pandemic has hurt his wallet as well.  

It's Episode 25 and time to find the silver lining! What do you do when there's no baseball? You talk baseball movies with the author of Baseball's No Hit Wonders, Dirk Lammers.  Emily Wilson was supposed to perform in the Monstrous Little Theatre production of Melancholy Play. It was postponed to this fall. But she joins the show to talk about the situation as well as her acting career.

Episode 24 is regrettably short due to the lack of Arts & Entertainment taking place because of the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Episode 23 comes out in the midst of a superstitious week. First there was the time change, then a full moon and tomorrow a Friday the 13th!  First we have the guys from Six Feet Over. Then Laura Kreiser goes through the House of Holly to learn more about Howard the Friendly Ghost. 

The double deuce episode gets us caught up on what's going on with the Sioux Falls Arts Council as we talk with its new Executive Director Kellen Boice. And we learn about the Books For Kids program from Coleen Leibsch. 

Live on Stage Sioux Falls board members Charlotte Hofer and Ted Takasaki talk about the remainder of their season and hint at next season. Plus the "show wife" Jeni Mc joins me on the Black Jack episode. Twenty one also means we can celebrate with an adult beverage.

An incredible energetic performer, Simon Floss, is on the show to talk about Good Night Theatre's upcoming production Alvin Fletcher's Surprise 34th Birthday Party.  Magician/Mentalist/Hynotist Zac Tenneboe AKA Zstonish has a new show called Deceptions which he'll be premiering March 12th.

Then a return visit from Sioux Empire Community Theatre Executive Director Robin Byrne along with OurMayberry's Shawn Tacey to talk about a new venture.

This week's Sioux Empire Arts & Entertainment Conversations include a lady that has fun singing on stage with a variety of bands and groups. A former radio colleague, Mike Henriksen, joins us as well. The area sportscaster and I discuss the correlation between sports and entertainment.

The Sweet 16 Episode includes a conversation with the brand new Executive Director of the Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society, Alex Gilbert-Schrag. Local comedian and one of the Sno-Jam Comedy Festival organizers, Luke Johnson also sat down to give us a rundown of that event's big weekend.
