Maybe we call it “seeking counsel” or...

Why We Need the Whole Bible 31.12.2019 41:23
There are 66 books in the Bible so we can be tempted to approach the Word as a compilation of many different books. We can read the same books over and over again and purposefully neglect others. However, the Bible tells one story, and when we don’t read the whole Bible, we actually miss out on parts of the story! There are many benefits to reading the whole Bible, but there are also some barriers...

O Come, O Come Emmanuel with Caroline Cobb 10.12.2019 44:25
“O Come, O Come Emmanuel”. You know the hymn and the melody. But did you know that each verse is paired with a different Messianic name? The hymn also upholds a dual purpose. On one hand, it reminds us of Israel’s longing for the Messiah and Christ’s first coming. On the other, it turns believers’ hearts today for Christ’s second coming when He will consummate God’s Kingdom and dwell with His peop...

How can we enjoy the good gifts the Lord...

The gospel c...
What’s With All the Rules in the Bible? 05.11.2019 54:01
Do you think Christianity has too many rules to follow? Does the Bible seem like a book full of restrictive commands to you? Is it just moralism? No one can live up to them, so why try at all? Isn’t the Bible outdated anyway? These are objections we have heard or thought. The Bible does have commands! And the gospel is about grace! The law actually offers hope and joy. It is a gracious gift from G...
What to do with Bad Days 29.10.2019 56:49
Bad days. We’ve all had them. Or maybe it’s a hard season, and we’re not sure when (if ever) things will let up. How do we deal with less than ideal circumstances? Should we put a smile on our face, pull up our bootstraps, and power through?...

Goals can be God-centered and informed by the gospel. Goals can help us keep the big picture of eternity in mind. Goals can help us number our days and live intentionally today. A Woman’s Highest Calling 15.10.2019 41:49
Is motherhood a woman’s highest calling? Is it marriage? Or does it depend on our gifts, interests, and circumstances? Purpose is an important topic. We want to know our God-given purpose because it impacts how we live in the here and now, and today matters for eternity. But here’s the truth we see in Scripture: we all have the same highest calling. We are all called to glorify God. But what does...
Celebrating Others in a Culture of Competition 08.10.2019 52:57
