God has given us weapons for fighting the spiritual battles.  In this episode, we consider part of the armor which God has given to us.

We live in a point in time where we view most things from the observable, and often intellectual perspective.  Call it the modern scientific view. Yet, the Scriptures, from beginning to ending underscore the reality of the unseen spiritual realities which make up so much of our experiences.  How to recognize and deal with those spiritual forces at work in our lives?  The Apostle Paul answers. 

Whether we are an employer or an employee, we are to glorify God in our relationships at work.  God has given work as a gift, and we can both enjoy our work and glorify God in it when we go to work WITH and FOR Him!

God's Word provides clear instruction for the nature of the relationship between parents and children and children and parents.  Fully applied, these truths can lead toward healthier kids and a happier, more godly home-life. 

So often we focus on the negative aspect of the admonition to "not be drunk with wine" (or be controlled by any other substance), but we too often miss the powerful positive admonition to be controlled by the Holy Spirit...the second admonition is the life transforming aspect.  Additionally, as we build-up each other in the Body of Christ, we will live as God's Grateful people.

Ephesians 5 contains some of the clearest teaching about husband-wife relationships anywhere in the Bible.  Properly applied, it can lead a couple into a phenomenal marriage, but each person must do their part. 

We can live in darkness, we can BE darkness; OR, in Christ we can live in The Light and choose to be the light of Christ to the world around us.  What will you choose?

The Christian is called to live as an imitator of Christ - in other words, to do what Jesus did, to love as Jesus loved, to forgive as Jesus forgave.  He is our pattern of love, yet too often we see the perversion of this love resulting in a coming punishment for those who have not repented. 

While Christianity shouldn't be relegated simply to a moralistic list of do's and don'ts, yet, while Christianity has its roots in faith and relationship with God, there are things Christians are not to do, and there are things that they should do...but the list isn't quite what you might think. 

We are made new by a work that begins INSIDE of us, generated by the Holy Spirit, and that change should become increasing evident on the OUTSIDE of us as we continue to grow.

We are not just called to believe individually, we are called to grow-up into maturity in Christ corporately, speaking the truth, hearing the truth, all in the love of Christ.

God has gifted individuals by His grace, and He has also given individuals as gifts by His grace to His Church. All of this gifting is to lead to a united maturity within Christ's Body, His Church.

While Ephesians chapters 1 - 3 are very doctrinal in their content, chapters 4 - 6 are very practical.  This episode considers the oneness that we should strive for within the family of God...make every effort.

The incredible Love of Christ is high and deep and wide and broad, so much so that we can only begin to know its expanse.  Paul's prayer is that we increasing get to know this unfathomable love of Christ.

How God would bring redemption was a mystery for millennia, but now, through Christ the mystery and the wisdom of this wonderful act of God on behalf of mankind is now made known.

Jesus tears down the walls that divide between Jew and Gentile, Black and White, or any other ethnicity - in Christ, even with our diversity we are made ONE!

We were dead men walking, but by the Grace of God through Faith in Christ we are made alive and into a marvelous masterpiece of God.

The Apostle provides a prayer model to pray and a direction in life to pursue - being spiritually formed by growing the in the knowledge of God.

God has given us His Spirit.  He will dwell in us permanently, yet, we also have responsibility to work with Him.  With Ephesians 1:14 as a jump-off point, we will consider several other passages that give insight and instruction as the the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer in Christ.

Today's broadcast is provides an overview of several more glorious doctrines of the Christian faith found right in Ephesians 1.  Today, we look at Adoption, Grace, Redemption, Indwelling, and Consummation. 

This broadcast considers this passage from both Reformed and Arminian vantage points.  In all, the work of Christ on our behalf is magnificent, and God's ways beyond tracing out. 

This section of Scripture brings with it some of the seemingly more challenges to our limited understanding as it raises such topics as predestination, election, God's choosing.  Yet, in the tension of our understanding, glorious foundational doctrines unfold.
