“Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.” Romans 12:10 ESV Competition seems to come to mind. Competition implies Keeping score Winner/Loser Relentless pursuit of a goal Determination to succeed Boasting in a win Sulking in a loss Reflection in how to improve Trying to be the best Putting pieces in place while training, and practicing until you are...

2 Samuel 16:5-14 5 Now when King David came to Bahurim, there was a man from the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei the son of Gera, coming from there. He came out, cursing continuously as he came. 6 And he threw stones at David and at all the servants of King David. And all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left. 7 Also Shimei said thus when he cu...
The Christmas Orange 24.12.2024 4:59
Jake was a resident of an orphan’s home, one of ten children supported by what contributions the home could secure on a continuous struggle. There was very little to eat, but at Christmas there always seemed to be a little more than usual to eat, and the home seemed a little warmer. It was a time for more than usual enjoyment, but more than this, there was the orange. At Christmas time, each child...
Be Still 21.12.2024 13:18
Exodus 14:13-14 - And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” We live in a world where everyone wants to be seen as perfect, or somehow like the standard of humanity. T...

The Day Jesus Rose from the Dead 16.12.2024 18:37
Using all 4 Gospels, I tried to put all accounts together in a single reading incorporating all parts of each gospel account. Beginning from the time Jesus died on the cross. I may have gotten some out of order, but I tried to make it chronologically make sense to me based on the wordings of each account.
The Day Jesus Died 14.12.2024 19:33
Using all 4 Gospels, I tried to put all accounts together in a single reading incorporating all parts of each gospel account. Beginning from the time they led him out of the Garden of Gethsemane. I may have gotten some out of order, but I tried to make it chronologically make sense to me based on the wordings of each account.
2 Stumps 12.12.2024 13:18
How deliberately you are shaped will govern the type of fire you offer on behalf of Christ. Do you go with the flow? Do you accept whatever is thrown your way? Do you test with fire advice, activities, information, etc…? 1 Corinthians 3:13 The more attentively you tend your spirit will govern the type of fire you offer on behalf of Christ. Keep with all diligence your heart because out of it flows...

What Do You Bring? 08.12.2024 17:31
What do you bring? I ask this because right now we’re in the midst of the religion battle. The disturbance between people who go to this church or that one. What I’m about to say may turn some people off, but Paul said something similar in Philippians 1… It doesn’t matter where you go… I’ll wait for the outrage to cease… Think about two places: The first is pristine, stained glass, crosses, images...
Consuming Fire 06.12.2024 14:10
“The leech has two daughters— Give and Give! There are three things that are never satisfied, Four never say, “Enough!”: The grave, The barren womb, The earth that is not satisfied with water— And the fire never says, “Enough!” The eye that mocks his father, And scorns obedience to his mother, The ravens of the valley will pick it out, And the young eagles will eat it.” - Proverbs 30:15-17...
Outer Strength & Inner Weakness 04.12.2024 24:52
People’s nature will always be to do whatever it takes to get what they want, and if possible, suffer as little consequence as possible. It is human nature to try and get what we want or what we desire. I’m guilty of behaving this way before.
