We desire to continue to discuss racial reconciliation because exhibiting racist attitudes towards people is a gospel issue that needs Biblical truth, we want to be good missiologists in our culture, and God's Kingdom is a diverse community centered around Him.

What is the basis of our unity as a church of Jesus in 2022?

Prayer is about intimacy with our Father in Heaven but has a strong relationship to the mission He has given us. As we grasp this great mission - to spread His Kingdom - we are driven to prayer and dependence on Him.

The miracle of the incarnation is that our King has come to us. God has come near to redeem His people and dwell in us now and forever.

The Old Testament is filled with prophecies of the king who would come and suffering for His people who prefer their own way. See this unfold in one of the songs of the Suffering Servant in Isaiah 53.

Our sin necessitated God's redemption plan first promised in the garden - the promise of one to come who would conquer sin, Satan, and death.

When we suffer, we will endure it well if we remember that the ultimate purpose behind all of our suffering is our Father's love for our good and perseverance through suffering.

Living the Christian life requires us to remember and learn from those who came before us, lay aside distractions and sins, endurance, focusing on Jesus - our example and engine, and doing all of this with joy. This is Christianity 101 and we never get away from these essentials.

As we enter Hebrews 11, the famous Hall of Faith chapter, we learn that while we have many temptations to quit following Jesus, we have inherited from others an enduring persevering faith to continue with Him. And this is not crazy, this is faith.

The writer of Hebrews continues to encourage those believers and us to stay the course with Jesus by helping them look back at how far they have come and the good they have experienced with Jesus and a look forward to what is to come and why it will be worth it.

In the strongest warning passage in Hebrews, the Spirit of God is helping us to see the eternal hopeless consequences of turning away from Jesus and facing God's wrath and condemnation.

Family, Servant, Missionary are key descriptors of the new identity we have received in Jesus and His Gospel. As we recast vision for 2021, hear how the Spirit is sending us as missionaries to our city in our missional communities.

What does it mean to be made Family by our Father in Heaven?

Because of everything Jesus has done to make us God's fully forgiven and cleansed people, we can draw near to Him, live with a constant hope, and live in this new community of God's people

Unlike the Old Testament sacrifices, Jesus the once and for all final sacrifice accomplished everything necessary for us to be redeemed, forgiven, sanctified as God's people forever.
