In career transition you always want to leave on a positive note. Don't allow the frustrations of a layoff or firing have you leave on a negative note.

As a leader you must give critical feedback for your employees to get better. Help them move forward in their career. Have a regular time you sit one on one with your direct reports. Ask for their thoughts on how they can improve. Ask for feedback on your leadership skills. Don't ask questions unless you're ready for the answers.

Leverage your fears to become a better version of yourself. Don't live your life differently because of those fears. They can debilitate your progress & growth.
