The Coolangatta Church Sunday Sermon

Brad continues to pull apart Ephesians Chapter 1:4-6, how we are adopted by God.

Brad looks at the next couple of verses of Ephesians, continuing from verse 4. The Bible has a lot of content within, and sometimes it can seem like there are tensions between different verses and their meanings. God has chosen his people no matter how they interpret the scripture. 

Brad pulls apart Ephesians 1:3-4. God has already blessed us, our response should be to bless and praise Him!

Adam starts our in depth reading on the Book of Ephesians, focusing on just the first two verses. Although brief, these verses contain deep meaning about identity, authority, and grace and peace in Christ.

Brad gives an overview of the structure and content of the book of Ephesians as we prepare to dive in and pull it apart over the coming weeks. Brad and Martha introduce a new series on the book of Ephesians, reading through the book from start to finish. Over the coming weeks, Ephesians will be pulled apart further.

Adam continues on from Brad's previous sermon on the Sabbath and refers to when 'Rest' is noted and commanded in the Bible in both the new and old testament.

Brad talks about the Sabbath. Why did God make the Sabbath? What did it mean for people in the time of the old testament, and what does it mean to us under the new covenant? 

Brad speaks on Fathers day and seeks to encourage dads. What does the bible say about fathers and what is God like as our heavenly Father?

Adam continues in the spiritual discipline of reading the Word. This week focusses on why it's important to not only read, but also memorise scripture. 

Adam continues the series on reading the Word. Today he speaks on some more techniques that we can and apply when approaching the bible to get the most out of reading the Word to help become closer to our Father.

Brad speaks on meditating on the Word; what it means for us as readers of the bible and how we can apply it to grow in our relationship with our heavenly Father.

Adam picks up from last week continuing on the subject of reading the Word. Today talking about 'Resting in the Word' in the sense of taking time to read and digest Word of God.  This sermon has periods of interaction from the congregation, leaving some parts of it silent as the microphone cannot reach the whole room.

As the large series on Growing in Christ continues, Brad introduces the next spiritual discipline that will be covered over the coming weeks; reading The Word.

Brad invites Coolangatta Christian Church to write a letter to the Lord, honestly offering Him their hearts.

Brad continues speaking about the spiritual discipline of fasting, referring to the book of Joel.

Adam continues on the topic of fasting, referring to Jesus' words when he talks about eating and drinking of Him.

As we continue the series on Growing in Christ, Brad preaches on another spiritual discipline to grow in our relationship with our creator: Fasting. 

Adam speaks on repentance, referring to the parable of the Prodigal Son in Luke chapter 15:11-32 

Brad speaks on giving, referring first to the old testament giving requirements and then in the new testament and what Jesus wants from us as givers. 

Brad speaks on mothers day, asking the question on what God wants of us but specifically what he wants for Mothers. 

As we close out on the Lord's prayer from previous weeks, Brad continues the subject of prayer with how we can pray for others.

Adam continues preaching on the Lord's prayer, looking at Matthew 6:13 about temptation.
