A few weeks ago we began discovering how the Bible defines being blessed and redefining our beliefs about true happiness. This Sunday we will return to the Blessed series by finding out what happy people don't believe.

Many believe that if you are blessed, you have been fortunate or lucky to have something: health, love, fame, fortune, talent, etc. But, is being blessed a matter of fortune or luck? What does it really mean to be blessed? As Christians, should we seek to be blessed? We will answer these questions and more as we start a brand new series on the Biblical concept of being blessed.

From Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, Jesus goes from being ushered in like a king to being crucified like a criminal, and then ultimately overcoming the grave. We'll take a look at six individuals who had Encounters with Christ during His final week, and how that could have impacted their lives.

If you could live without fear, what would you do? Who could you be? Fear does not need to hold a grip on your life, nor does it need to chart the course of your life.

The Bible says that he that endures to the end shall be saved. This principle is expressed throughout the Word of God. Faith that endures to the end shall receive the reward. Like many of the men and women of the Bible, sometimes we have to keep the faith for a long time before seeing the blessing. Learn how to "keep the faith" until the expected end comes.

In the final part of our sermon series, The Gospel, we will talk about being a citizen of the Kingdom of God, and what it means to be blessed by Him.

As Christians, it's important to really know and understand the magnitude of what Christ has done for us. He sacrificially died for us and then rose again, and now he makes intercession for us at the right hand of the Father. It is equally vital for us to respond in the right way to this sacrificial act of love.

The four core truths of the gospel are vital for every Christian to know and understand. As we go deeper into each core truth, our hearts become more grateful and full of awe because of what Jesus has done for us. We also gain a greater level of confidence when we share the gospel with others.

Here are two reasons why many people don't turn to God when they are offended.

Everyone has opportunities to get offended or upset. We all have to deal with the issues of bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness at one time or another. However, we should not accept unforgiveness as an inevitable part of our lives. Through the strength of God’s Word we can live our lives free from unforgiveness.

God desires for us to be holy. In order for us to be holy, we can't try to hide from God when we sin like Adam and Eve did in the garden. Instead, we must be open before God and not allow our guilt to turn into shame. Shame seeks to paralyze us and knock us off track in our pursuit of holiness. Only the love of God can break down the walls of shame and put us back on the track to being holy.
