Every Christian can receive an abundant amount of grace. One of the functions of God’s grace is to empower us to “rule in life” (Romans 5:17). Even though there are many trials and tribulations that we must face, God will always give us the grace to be victorious. The Scripture would not have told us to rule in life if it was not possible. The key is to believe, make a stand, and fight.

Christians were never meant to “just get by.” You were created to rise above adversity and display greatness! This Sunday, we will continue talking about the empowering grace of God that enables us to overcome any and every tribulation we face.

Grace empowers you to rule in life, and it is also the only thing that makes you an effective witness for Him. When you truly understand grace, you will not be intimidated to witness. The power of grace strengthens your boldness. When you have grace operating in your life, it won’t matter what you’ve done in your past, you will be able to speak boldly and with authority.

When we sin, there is a sense of guilt and shame present that hinders our faith and undermines our boldness to stand in the authority of Christ. But when we confess (acknowledge) our sin, God through His grace assures us that we are forgiven and cleans our conscience by the blood of Christ. Then there is no more sense of unrighteousness in our hearts and minds.

Romans 5:17 says, “…they which receive abundance of grace…shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” This is great news! It means that life on this earth is not supposed to surpass us. We are to rule and reign over life. This Sunday, we will continue to dig into the Amazing Grace of Christ and how the goodness of God allows us to walk in a faith that overcomes.
