The Common Sense Gospel

Happy New Year!!! Children are a heritage from the Lord! They are a gift from God and the fruit of the womb. What a blessed privilege to be entrusted with a human life and to be granted the loving relationship that can only be found in our children.

There are many places in the gospels where Jesus tells people to follow Him. We will look at a few of those places and see how people reacted to Him when the call went forth. We'll also look at the way people react to Him today, as the call continues to go out.

The hospital visit is one of those things we all have to do from time to time. Though we don't go there often, it sure is important to know what to do and what to say when that time comes. Danny and Kurt discuss this time in our lives and how to handle it in a godly way.

We've been hearing some people say that they are going "no contact" with friends and family that they don't agree with. They're just going to stay home for the holidays. This is a dangerous decision to make and it should be handled with love and deep concern for those who have been hurt. We would like to give credit to Kyle Campbell for the article that he wrote on this subject. His article was the source of our discussion, and it was a very enlightening read. This is a conversation about modest apparel and the shamefacedness we all should have when it comes to the way we dress.

There is a common practice that we see in society today. It's that sneaky attempt to disguise sin by calling it something that is less offensive to the ears. In this episode, Danny and Kurt will discuss this strategy and show that it is not a new tactic. It's been going on since the beginning of time.

In this little bitty book, Paul praises Philemon and all of his good work in the Lord. With that being said, Paul is going to ask Philemon to do the unthinkable and forgive the man who has deeply hurt him. Can Philemon, do it? With the help of his Savior, he can. And so can we!
