The Common Sense Gospel

We have seen the woman who was stricken with a 12 year blood flow being healed by Jesus with a touch of faith. What about Jairus? It took too long to get to his house and now his daughter is dead. Who will help Jairus now?

We started Season 9 by looking at Eve and it makes good Common Sense to finish this season with Mary, the mother of Jeus. She was told by Gabriel, "Rejoice highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women." What a blessing, what a Gift!

Lightning Round question 23 is about the passages in Deuteronomy 4:2 and Revelation 22:18-19 . Is the commandment given in these two books about these two books only, or does this commandment include all of Scripture?

Today, a ruler of the synagogue named Jairus will come to Jesus, fall at His feet, and beg Him to come and heal his 12-year-old daughter. While on their way to Jairus' house, a woman interrupts their procession and touches Jesus' garment. Danny and Robert will talk about her faith and what it means to leave the position of being behind Jesus and come before Him.

Hannah is such a marvelous woman in Scripture. She was bitter in soul because the Lord closed her womb, but she knew exactly what to do about it. Her faith is so great that once she prayed to the Lord, she was happy and knew that God would help her.

Did you know that Jesus can calm a raging sea by rebuking it with a word? He most certainly can and we will watch Him do it today! Not only does He have the power to control weather systems, but He will also show great compassion on one man who is demon possessed and is feared by all those who know him. Jesus is here, and He has come to help.

Jesus meets Mary in her darkest hour; He restored her with godly compassion and called her to a life of faithful discipleship. When Jesus spoke her name in the garden, it revealed the depth of her love: she recognized the voice of the One who had given her hope, dignity, and a new beginning. Lightning Round question 22 is about the heroes of faith that we can read about in Hebrews 11 . did they go to heaven and how do we know?

Jesus is teaching in parables by the sea, explaining the kingdom of God and how it grows. He begins with the parable of the Sower, describing how different hearts receive God’s word with varying results, from fruitlessness to abundant harvest. We will also hear about the lamp, the growing seed, and the mustard seed. He who has ears to hear, let him hear and understand God’s divine power.

Jezebel was a Phoenician princess, the daughter of Ethbaal, king of Sidon, who became queen of Israel when she married King Ahab. This marriage brought political alliance—but spiritually, it brought devastating consequences. Her name became a symbol of manipulation, rebellion, and spiritual corruption.

Things are getting more difficult for Jesus. Though He continues to heal, cast out demons, and heal those who need Him, His family thinks that He might be out of His mind, and the Pharisees are telling the people that He casts our demons by Beelzebub.

As Jesus continues to move from town to town, preaching the kingdom of God there is a noticeable change in the air. The people are learning who He is and what He can do, but so are the scribes and the Pharisees. They are threatened by Jesus, His message, and His miracles and they have already begun devising a plan to destroy Him.

The two godly women we will consider today will be Marry and Martha, with a special emphasis on Mary. No one else has a heart for Jesus the way Mary does. She listens to Him, she mourns with Him, and she worships Him in such beautiful ways. Let's see what we can learn from these two women as we watch them with the Savior of the world.

In Season 9, Danny and Kurt will look at some of the most famous women in Scripture. We'll kick off episode 1 with a study on Eve. The first woman ever created and the mother of all living.

Our lightning Round Question #21 is about dancing. Where does the Bible say that it sinful to dance in public?

As Mark gives us the gospel of Jesus Christ, he wastes no time telling us about the compassion and love that the Lord has for His people. In this short reading, Jesus will heal Peter's mother-in-law, all who are sick and demon possessed, and He will still find time to pray.

In James 3:13 tells us, " Let the wise and understanding show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom ." Today, Danny and Kurt will show how Jeus did this perfectly throughout His life. " Good works done in the meekness of wisdom. "

Danny and Robert will take a close look at the beginning of Christ's ministry and what Mark chooses to tell us about the Lord as His teaching and preaching begins.

This is the final reading for the book of Galatians.
