The Coffee Celebration

I have known Julie for years.  In this sacred space, we share how we thought our lives would be by now and how we plan to create the best life possible moving forward.  In this first episode of The Coffee Celebration; The Second Cup, we dig deep and realize that friendship is priceless, finding love is a bonus and that coffee is essential.

Y'all!!!!  I have lived in Cincinnati since 2008 and I did not know we had a coffee festival!  Take a listen as Judi and I share a love of coffee, describe this phenomenal event, and tell you how to buy tickets!  It is something you won't want to miss!

You know him from Season 20 of The Bachelor, but for me, it was all about the coffee.  With two of his friends, he started Generous Coffee and it makes a difference world-wide.  

When our episode first began, I was nervous.  Racheli is an Intelligence Officer for the United States Air Force, she trains in Krav Maga and does everything so gracefully.  By the end of our episode, I admitted how much I adored her and she laid it out that we are all just making through day; which made me love her even more.  You will too.

Y'all...I had THE PLEASURE of interviewing VaRonica.  She has overcome challenges that most of us wouldn't survive.  I laughed. I cried.  I made her my new best friend.  xo.

You have heard me say before that I have the most incredible friends.  Emily is one of my posse.  I met her at Miami University of Ohio (Love & Honor!), and it's been 20 years of watching her come into her own.  The moment I saw her on Zoom, I went back in time and we both just picked up where we left off.  I am so blessed to know Emily & call her a friend.

Dr. Sarah Uphoff is an ally, advocate, trainer, educator, slam poet, mom and the list goes on.  I met her when she was an undergraduate at Northwest Missouri State University and I was a hall director.  Sarah's commitment to learning, educating and mentoring others, will leave you inspired and wanting to do more in your community.  I love Sarah and her beautiful spirit. xo

I was absolutely delighted that Tina found me.  I am blown away at her ability to pivot and find the good in everything.  She created her own business when her job was put on hold during COVID, she is an equestrian coach, she wrote her own book and believe me, she is just getting started.  After speaking with Tina, I felt like I could do anything I set my heart and mind to.

Maggie Leach is an award winning thespian, Miss Iowa Outstanding Teen 2021, she created her own community organization and she not only a cheerleader at Pella High School, but an excellent student as well.  I am in awe of her ambition, motivation and poise.  

Anthony found me and I am so grateful he did.  He is a disability advocate, ally & author.  As a person in a wheelchair, he taught me so much in the short hour we shared together.  I have no doubt that after you listen to this episode, you will want to make a difference for individuals living with a disability too.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Rabbi Micah Becker-Klein.  My cousin Sharon has been my coffee dealer and supplying me with Roasting Rabbi Coffee for over 2 years.  Getting to know Rabbi Becker-Klein opened my eyes to the coffee process, what it takes to start a coffee business and how religion and coffee can bring common ground.

Dr. Erika Michalski is a dynamic professional, who has cultivated a business centered around being your authentic self.  As we got to know each other more, I found myself drawn into her light and realized that I, too, could and should embrace all that I am.  This episode reflects a caring, loving and wicked smart woman who encourages and empowers others to tap into their authentic selves...

Moira is my Reiki Master.  I.  Love.  Her.  She has helped me with my energy because I have a tendency to store stress in my body.  She has a gift of being an intuitive healer and once you meet with her, either in person or online, you will see what I am talking about.

Mike and I met in high school through BBYO.  Since then, he has earned Emmy Awards for his work as a videographer and created a successful career.  I loved catching up with him.  

Jamie is a life coach, author, mother and has been traveling across the country with her family in her 31 foot trailer.  Her story is pure inspiration.  

I grew up with Tamara in Denver.  We reconnected through Facebook and her story of finding Mr. Right definitely involved coffee!

Brenda is a savvy scientist, who for the past 20 years has made a difference in our world.  More recently, she has curated a community for parents navigating being empty nesters.  I had the best discussion with her and she is my new best friend!

Becca will inspire you about her journey and share what she has learned as a mother of child who have navigated the college process.  Becca lives in Cincinnati and I cannot wait to be her new best friend!

Luisa has lost over 140 pounds by learning what her body needs.  She is offering a FREE workshop beginning September 13, 2021 about how she did it.

Emily has created The Buoy Box and Confidence Will Follow.  I met her last year during Made To Do This and we have so much in common.  I cheering Emily on, because she is headed for success.

Joan has created a community called Together We Love.  It is for white women married to Black men.  Her story will inspire you as she recalls her college journey and the challenges her children faced in college too.  Sit back, get comfy and enjoy getting to know Joan.

Miriam is an artist, educator, author and Chaplain.  She is always learning and growing.  You will be so inspired by her journey.

I met Keith at the University of Northern Colorado.  We were RA's together and both sat on the Student Representative Council (SRC).  We have kept in touch since we both graduated from college and Keith shares his story as a transfer student.

Camille has created a life-changing program designed to help non-traditional college students succeed both on campus and in life.  This is definitely a great episode for everyone.
