Don't all of us want glory? We all want to be admired, and appreciated? But Jesus is going to show us that the way we go about seeking glory is often wrong, and that rather by seeking him and his righteousness, not the admiration of others. The cross is the token symbol of Christianity. A symbol that once meant excruciating suffering now means salvation. The cross is our salvation, but it is also the example Jesus set for us, as the way into the kingdom of God.
