Bill Voth joined us to discuss his history in sports media, Charlotte as a sports town, and answer some rapid fire questions. We also learned about the phenomenal Julius Chambers and Supportive Guy recaps the Academy Awards.

On today’s pod we were updated by Meredith and Smasheton of RunningWorks about a major project they have to help the homeless community in Charlotte. Later Jarvis Holliday joined the pod to go over his article on the CIAA and help us pick the best parties to attend. We welcomed Blake Bourne of Charlotte Bridge Home to talk about his organization and what it does for veterans and their families to help them adjust to civilian life. We also learned about Harvey Gantt and Supportive Guy taught us about the joy of Christmastown, USA.

We were joined by the brilliant photojournalist Logan Cyrus to talk about his background, what it was like to cover the Charlotte Protests, and his photo series on the election. We also talked about how it is not going to snow on Christmas and Supportive Guy shares with us his Supportive Oath.

Vic’s story about how an idea on a napkin became the USNWC is fascinating and shows the importance of having a positive community for startups in Charlotte. We were joined by the amazing Amy Bagwell and Amy Herman of Goodyear Arts to discuss the program and how it has evolved over the past year. John also details who Romare Bearden was and we hear the first installment of a new supportive words segment.
