He keeps His promises and He will not give us more than we can bear. He sets the limits.

Our world is more than our planet or an idiom for humankind, but rather it represents the desires and distractions of our human culture that pull us away from God. The way we overcome those temptations is to recognize that all of it will someday pass away.

Victory in Jesus is available to us because of what He has already done. But when we find ourselves straying from His will for our lives, or in the Apostle John’s words “walking in darkness,” victory begins when we have the courage to confess our sins.

The title of "overcomer" is typically given to those extraordinary people who have won victory over seemingly impossible obstacles. In sports we think of Bethany Hamilton; in history we think of the colonists; and in the Bible people like Moses and Joseph come to mind. But this weekend we will dive into 4 short verses in the New Testament that shed light on the fact that we are already overcomers!
