Throughout history, names have been a defining part of each of us. On this Family Dedication weekend, we focus on Who is doing the naming and the power a given name still carries today.

Your future starts now! There is nothing more valuable than what or WHO you allow to rule your heart. The condition of your heart will influence every part of your life, present and future!

Good or evil? Right or wrong? Overcome or overcomer? Our mind is a constant battlefield when we are trying to live a God-honoring life! Fortunately, the Bible gives us insight on how to honor God inside and out.

Be careful little eyes what you see….because the eyes are a gateway to our internal world. A gateway that deserves to be tightly guarded because what is allowed in affects every other area of the body.

How are your spiritual listening skills? The Bible calls believers to not be deaf to the truth but to listen and tune our ears to Him.

In a world of give up and knock down, our God is the God of pick up and turn around. In fact, Scripture calls Him the God of endurance and encouragement! He wants His children to be the same!

The feet take us places. They support and mobilize the rest of the body. Believers are called to go and share the Good News of the Gospel.

The physical body of a believer has a purpose beyond our own. God wants us to use every part and opportunity to fulfill a role specific to us in the bigger picture. When we do, we form something bigger, better, and more beautiful than we could ever be on our own…the collective Body of Believers. 

Life isn’t easy. Even following God’s plan will put us in some tough and trying places. But the strength that has carried the Church through centuries is the same today. May we learn to be ever faithful followers of the always faithful God!

Joy and generosity were important parts of the first church that led to goodwill and growth. As we pattern ourselves after scripture, Joy and generosity should be defining marks of today’s church too. // Acts 2:46

In this season of growth at Central, we will look at the first church and see that expansion has been part of God’s plan for His church from the very beginning. // Acts 13, 15:19

When you know the power, it changes the approach! In this lesson we will talk about living with a boldness in our faith that can’t help but draw attention to the One our faith is in! // Acts 4:13, Acts 6, 7

Even though Central started 170 years ago, the Church has existed much longer. Central is a continuation of the church found in the book of Acts. In week one of this series, we’ll discover the difference between a church that exists, and a church empowered!

In our attempt to build a good life, we can lose ourselves trying to control all the aspects. Control is fleeting. The only thing we can totally control is our response as events unfold. Looking at the book of Esther, we’ll learn how to focus on allowing our faith to control our obedience.

Some of us overthink and some of us don’t think enough. Our brains are so brilliantly complex, but we let the things of this world dictate our minds. It’s time to learn how to rethink; and thankfully Jesus demonstrated what that means!

The world that we live in tries to normalize and even encourage self-focus and self-praise, but God says the exact opposite.

School’s out for summer, but class is in session for our annual Short Summer Series at Central. In this 4-week term, we’ll learn practical life lessons from God’s syllabus – the Bible! Week 1 - Many of us are driven by our mouth, and we aren’t the first to listen. In session one of summer school, let’s learn practical lessons for healthy relationships from the book of James. // James 1:19

When Jesus shows up, the situation changes! He has great plans of abundance for you! In this lesson, we’ll be encouraged by what He has done – and can do – as we listen to Him!

The Apostle Paul spent a lot of time traveling on boats to share the Gospel with his part of the world. Though the method is different, our mission is the same today. Jesus said GO into all the world and share the Good News.

Just like He was for the disciples in the boat, Jesus is the difference-maker in the storms of our life.
