The Cards Wire podcast: Rise Up, See Red

Jess does a solo show after minicamp is over. He goes over roster moves the Cardinals made and could be making, talks about offseason WR hype and the history of it in recent years, goes over potential uses for Isaiah Simmons as a safety and runs down training camp news. 

The Arizona Cardinals are in their final week of the offseason practice and Jess and Seth discuss a few offseason topics. They discuss Budda Baker's absence from minicamp practice, the new episode of "Flight Plan", whether the Cardinals should pursue Dalvin Cook or Danielle Hunter, Adam Rank's projected 2 wins for the Cardinals and the size trend among receivers and cornerbacks. 

Jess and Seth are back with more offseason content as the Arizona Cardinals open their final week of OTAs.  They discuss who the team's third-best player is, what the team's greatest strength is for now, where Colt McCoy and Kyler Murray should be ranked among NFL starters and where they think Zaven Collins will end up playing most this season.

After a week off, Jess and Seth returned with a show focused on the aftermath of the release of receiver DeAndre Hopkins. They discuss why it came to this, where he might land and what the receiver room now looks like. They talk about Budda Baker planning on being at minicamp and discuss whether we should call the Cardinals' 2023 strategy tanking. 

Jess and Seth get together to talk about the Arizona Cardinals' schedule and make week-by-week predictions for how they think the Cardinals will be this coming season. 

Jess and Seth team up for a new episode to discuss a number of offseason topics in a relatively quiet part of the offseason.  They briefly touch on the amended complaint by Terry McDonough,. They discuss the latest Budda Baker unhappiness, the Kevin Kolb story that came out, how the defense might be a 3-4 alignment and how the Cardinals appear to have moved on from Andy Lee and Aaron Brewer.

Jess and Seth look ahead to to the release of the 2023 NFL schedule and make predictions about the Cardinals' schedule, go over new scheduling rules and potential prime-time matchups. 

In their second show of the week, Jess and Seth go over the impact of no trading DeAndre Hopkins, no trade of Budda Baker and no fifth-year option for Isaiah Simmons. 

The Arizona Cardinals made several trades and selected 9 players in the 2023 NFL draft. Jess and Seth discuss the deals and the picks in this episode. 

For the ninth year in a row, Jess and Seth make their predictions for what will happen in the first round of the draft. Before that, they discuss some of the happenings and rumors about the Cardinals. 

The Cardinals revealed new uniforms on Thursday night and Seth and Jess reacted to the new threads.  They also wrap up their positional preview for the NFL draft, going over the running backs, tight ends and cornerbacks to know for the Cardinals. 

Jess and Seth continue their 2023 NFL draft preview series with this latest show. They discuss the changes in the betting odds for the second overall pick in the draft and how it affects Arizona. They also continue their positional previews, discussing offensive tackles and guards/centers to know for the Cardinals in the draft. 

Jess and Seth got together for the second of their draft preview shows finishing up the defensive side of the ball.  But some apparent unhappiness with safety Budda Baker had to be talked about. They speculate about what is happening and then discuss the linebackers, cornerbacks and safeties to know in the NFL draft this month. 

Jess and Seth begin their draft shows but with the start of the Cardinals' offseason program, they react to the first day of workouts and go over new information about Michael Bidwill and his workplace manner. They go over the Cardinals' potential targets in the first round of the draft and preview pass rushers and defensive linemen. 

Jess and Seth react to the accusations of former Cardinals executive Terry McDonough. Jess gives a conspiracy theory. They wonder if the Cardinals could actually release receiver DeAndre Hopkins. 

In a solo podcast, Jess goes through the projected win total of each team in the NFL and whether he is taking the Over or the Under. 

Seth joins Jess for a second show this week as the Cardinals announced a pair of free agent signings on Thursday. They go over those additions, discuss the latest with the DeAndre Hopkins trade rumors, talk about what scheme the Cardinals might have on defense and then go over what we know about the improvements the team is making in its facility.

Another week in free agency passed and the Cardinals signed a pair of linebackers. Jess and Seth discuss the additions, talk about comments HC Jonathan Gannon had about the quarterback room and center position, and then they go over the Cardinals' low projected win total for 2023.

Jess and Seth were back together to talk about the latest in free agency and the Arizona Cardinals as they added a few more players since our last show. They also talk about what they still expect in free agency and go over options for the Cardinals in trading DeAndre Hopkins. 

Jess returns later in the week to talk more Arizona Cardinals free agency. He goes over and reacts to some of the newer additions, news about the team's own free agents and what might be or should be the focus in the days to come. 

NFL free agency began this week and the Arizona Cardinals, as of Tuesday night, had not done much.  Jess and Seth break down and react to the moves they had made thus far and what they still need to do. 

In Part 2 of our 2023 NFL combine show, Original Draft Breakdown podcast cohost Justin Higdon joins Jess and Seth to talk about the defensive prospects and how they fit with the Arizona Cardinals.
