There is word that President Joe Biden is looking for a way out of his decision to end Title 42, the Trump-era regulation that allows U.S. authorities to turn back illegal crossers at the U.S.-Mexico border on the grounds of protecting the country from COVID. Earlier this month, the Biden administration announced that Title 42 will be repealed on May 23.

For years Democrats have used student debt relief as a selling point in elections and it looks like the upcoming midterms will be no different. Recent polls suggest that young people won't turn out in November and that's exactly what the Democrats need to happen. Democratic Sen. Chris Coons, from President Joe Biden's home state of Delaware, has been called the president's "closest Senate ally" and even a "shadow secretary of state." When he travels abroad, Coons is widely thought to speak for the president. "The fact that I am known to have a close relationship with [Biden] helps me deliver a more forceful message," Coons told Politico last year.

Remember just a few weeks ago, when President Joe Biden's supporters hoped he would enjoy a bounce in job approval ratings after his State of the Union address? Smith physically attacked Rock, apparently over a joke Rock told about Smith's wife. But you don't get to attack someone physically over making a joke. Smith was in the wrong, as he later acknowledged, although not before attending post-Academy Awards parties.
