Jesus came to suffer and die. His Kingdom is upside down to The Worlds Kingdom, His Kingdom is not of this world. This King came as a suffering Servant not a King to be crowned. God always uses what appears in our eyes to be bad and turns it into good. There is always an upside to down.

Jesus endured the Cross and His mission was accomplished under the weight of a trial. Trials are the tool that God uses to make us more like Christ. When Trials come, they often identify what we use to use for security. The 'What Ifs' can cause either Fear or Faith. The Unknown is where we discover our Need for God.

Jesus was our substitutionary atonement. He took our sin, judgement and penalty. We have been given His righteous standing before the Father. He sits on the right hand of the Father interceding for our past present and future sins. Salvation in Christ should bring not only eternal security but security in these uncertain times.

The Cross was foreshadowed and foretold of in the old Testament. The Cross was the only way for Sin to be atoned for by a Holy God. The Cross is foolishness to those who are not saved. The Cross connects the old covenant to the New covenant. The Cross has made a way for us to be saved.

We were created by God to have relationship with him. Sin will lead us into fear and then hiding. The fallen man often finds himself hiding behind Titles, Relationships, Work, Money, Addictions, and Performing. God has given us access to freedom from guilt and shame through Jesus. Jesus came to serve not to be served. God's work in us moves us to work for him. If we are emptied He will fill us for more. If we are idle we become more idle. God has put us providentially where we can be used. If we follow Jesus example we will be blessed.

Jesus prayed alone, in public, before meals, before healing, after healing, before important decisions, he prayed to follow The Will, He prayed for us, He also taught us to pray. Discouragement can lead to isolation, frustration, disbelief, and depression. We were designed by God to carry each other’s burdens, to be encouraged and to encourage. When our comfort from The Lord comes, we are being prepared to use that same comfort to help others. Be careful whose voice you are listening to. Our trials help us to grow into the image of Christ.

God desires us to change into him image, therefor resolving to change in 2020 is good and necessary. Change requires Godly grief not worldly sorrow (repentance).
