Plural Marriage is so tough to understand - so many unknowns which makes it a pretty messy topic.  But, by putting ourselves in those faithful Saints’ shoes for a minute (or even Abraham’s Old Testament shoes) it may enable us to offer them a lot of grace and patience as they acted in faith.
