Whenever you’re building something, you’re going to encounter problems. One of the keys is, who is around you and helping you? It might just be that there’s great purpose and power in the problem you’re encountering and the right team can help you be victorious. Remember, God cares about your problems and His miracles are an endless supply.  Subscribe to the latest sermons: http://bit.ly/TBCsermon...

There’s two kinds of compromise. One is when you come to the middle on an issue with someone to get somewhere and that’s often healthy. The other is when you bend on your values, standards, and what’s right to resolve a conflict - internally or externally. That is dangerous!  No compromise, otherwise, you kill the potential for miracles! Subscribe to the latest sermons: http://bit.ly/TBCsermons To...

It is good to be educated, well-read, achieved, and informed. However, it is better to have experienced the realness of God that defies your reading, preconceptions, and former beliefs. If you put God in a box due to your pride, you’ll miss the miracles awaiting you on the other side of faith and humility. There are ramifications to the way you respond to things in this life. When God gives you what you desire, when He also desires it for you, it is better than you could have dreamed. In the Kingdom, some people receive more than others. In the Kingdom, some people know Jesus deeper. In the Kingdom, some people experience greater things. Often, the difference between those who experience ALL God has for them and those who live a limited Christian life is they don’t truly believe they are a very qualified candidate for the miraculous. There’s enough to go around, you’re not in c...

Whatever you eat, that’s what you’ll be hungry for. In other words, you develop your own appetite. If you always eat a particular item, your body will crave it. What you feed grows, what you starve dies. What are you feeding yourself, what appetite are you developing? An appetite for the things of God or for the things of this world? We live in a world that is broken, and people that are lost. And while we are guaranteed to experience pain from these things, it doesn’t mean we should live life dictated by these things. In fact, Jesus has shown us that our pain can be a part of a masterpiece, God wants to paint if we give it to Him. Our culture of greed combined with multiple debt options breeds a mentality of, “If I want it, I can have it, and I’ll pay for it later.” In so doing, we compromise and mortgage our future while contradicting what God has called us to do with what He has given us. “Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. Our current suffering or setbacks can lead to eternal hope. Even in death, with Jesus, we have been given a greater blessing. In short, we win either way. In life, there are troubles and blessings, but in eternity, there is a great prize waiting for believers – Jesus and heaven.  Subscribe to the latest sermons: http://bit.ly/TBCsermons To learn more about The Block Church: http://theblockchurch.o...

Life can be hard and it comes at us fast. At times, it can be overwhelming and we feel like we don’t belong. And while it is true that our citizenship is in heaven, God put us here on purpose for a purpose. The Bible calls believers, Ambassadors. The Bible informs us first of our assignment and beliefs, not famous people, not politicians, not pop culture, not your coworkers, not always your family...

You can know the Bible and not love the Bible. If you don’t live the Bible, you don’t love God. We don’t just read the Bible, we have a relationship with it. The deeper your relationship with the WORD, you develop a Biblical worldview. Without one, you will only be a cultural Christian, being aware there is truth but denying its power. You need to test yourself to see if you’re really in the faith...

We teach and try to live by the Bible every week. And while it’s fun and enjoyable, we don’t just do it for fun or for sport. We teach the Bible because it is true, it is the best way for humans to flourish, and it is God’s Word of life to us. The questions are, do you believe it and how do we know the Bible is true? There might not be monsters in our kids' closets, but there certainly are demons moving about the earth. In this life, you have to turn the lights on and address what seems scary and overwhelming. This is exactly what God’s Word does for us. The Bible is like turning on a light within us, revealing what’s ugly and what needs to change. It also spotlights and brings clarity to our culture as well a...
