Psalm 10:12-18 wraps up much of what both Psalm 9 &10 introduced. the Psalmist who is afflicted cries to God, but this time with certainty. While evil and wicked people continue to plot and cause trouble, God takes notice and will call to account on the last day. God will defend the afflicted, who are identified as his People, and will save them. In the meantime, he strengthens their heart.

Psalm 4 is a Psalm for the end of the day. A day full of conflict with enemies. The Pslamist turns to God and will not let anger and sin overtake him. He knows that God will protect him from the taints and mocks of those who turn his honor to shame, that God will create a space for him in a tight spot and that God will bless him with all that is needed for this life.

Psalm 3 introduces us to David and the fight of faith that he and we are thrown into from the moment we wake up in the morning. We also see how our God is at work on our lives to deliver us. Through it all, we see Jesus Christ our Lord, though surrounded by his enemies on the cross, is delivered by His Father.

Psalm 2 continues what Psalm 1 began to do: introducing us to the main character of the Psalm. In our Psalm today we see that the Blessed Man is also the Messiah, the King, and the Son of God. And through Jesus, God sets his King on his Holy Hill in the sight of all nations.
