Joris returns to join Ben and Scott as they once again dive into another week of Belgian football action. The trio chat Frey's 5 star performance, Genk's last gasp winner against Kortrijk, as well as looking ahead to the start of a highly anticipated 1B season with plenty of teams capable of challenging for promotion. 

Ben and Scott are a man down this week as Joris had to take a week off. They discuss the crazy game between Genk and Oostende on Friday night, as well as some great goals, some dodgy defending and some transfer news. 

What a first weekend of Pro League action we had! Drama, controversy and a goal of the season contender already. Ben, Joris and Scott dive into the games, including the return of USG to 1A in the Brussels derby, the controversial finish to the game between Club Brugge and Eupen and early thoughts on Seraing. They also chat about some new players who have joined in the past couple of days.

Belgium are in the quarter finals! After a nervy 1-0 win over Portugal Belgium now face Italy. Ben, Scott and Joris look back over the game against Ronaldo and co, before looking ahead to the Italy match. They also spend some time to praise a Ukraine side full of current and former Pro League talent. 

It's last 16 stage of EURO2020 (or 2021) and Belgium are up against Portugal. Ben, Scott and Joris look back over the group stages, before looking ahead to the game against Portugal and the potential opponents if the Red Devils are able to make it pass Ronaldo and co. 

The season may be over, but there is still plenty of Pro League action to talk about! The trio discuss recent managerial appointments at Sint Truiden, Antwerp and Seraing, as well as Phillipe Clements decision to stay with Club Brugge. They then look ahead to the Euros and the Pro League players who will be in action. 

The season is over, which means it's time to give out some end of season awards! The team discuss the inaugural Belgian Football Podcast Team of the Season, before moving on to Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season, Manager of the Season and then a goal of the season each.

Club Brugge are the champions!! Ben, Scott and Joris look back on Club Brugge winning back to back titles as well as the final league standings for the European places. They also chat the controversy that came out of title celebrations and during the Mechelen game, as well as managerial appointments.

Two match weeks have passed since our last episode, and plenty has happened! Scott, Joris and Ben discuss Club Brugge finally winning in the playoff round, Genk keeping the pressure on, Mechelen and Gent pushing to win PO2. They also discuss the new managers announced at Waasland-Beveren and Charleroi, as well as looking at the recently announced Red Devils squad for EURO2020. 

Seraing are promoted! Ben, Joris and Scott look back over a crazy second leg of the relegation play off in which the team from 1B gained promotion, while also looking back at another goal glut in the play-offs. The trio also talk about the COVID controversy around the newly promoted teams, Antwerp sporting director leaving, 1B licencing and a great listener question! 

The play-offs begin with goals galore! Scott, Ben and Joris dive into all the games, starting with the big relegation play-off between Seraing and Beveren and then Oostende's thumping of Standard. The trio also talk about transfers that have been announced, with a bigger look at Sakala's move to Rangers on a four year deal. 

Cup final glory for Genk! Ben, Joris and Scott look back at an entertaining cup final in which Genk overcame Standard 2-1. They also chat through Refaelov's controversial move to Anderlecht, Bernat San Jose leaving Eupen and how the play offs impact on European qualification for Belgian sides. 

We were delighted to be joined by Mario Bronckaerts, President Official Standard Liege Supporters Association and Laurens Grossard from Genk fans podcast Terril Talks who give us their views and opinions ahead of the Cup Final!

Well the regular season wrapped up in dramatic fashion, with both Waasland-Beveren and Mouscron battling it out to give themselves a second shot at survival through the relegation play-off. The trio talk through a dramatic final day, as well as implications going forward for the now relegated Mouscron, as well as what will happen with Charleroi as they look for a new manager. 

Just one more round of the regular season to go, with the penultimate matchday certainty not holding back on drama! Scott, Joris and Ben look back on a weekend of matches where Cercle Brugge confirmed their safety, Anderlecht moved into the top four and both Mouscron and Beveren look ahead to a final matchday in which the relegation positions will be decided. 

With the international break over the trio return to dive back into the Pro League action from this weekend, including the relegation scraps for Waasland-Beveren and Cercle Brugge, Hashioka at Sint Truiden, Defour retirement and the continued plight of Mouscron. 

Our 50th episode is another special! Chris Lee, author of the soon to be published Origin Stories, joins us for a quick chat about the book and where Belgium fit in to the story of how football came to be. The book will be released on the 19th of April and charts footballs pioneers from multiple countries up to thr 1930 World Cup.

The trio return for a shorter than usual episode, with international football on the horizon and no Pro League action for a few weeks, they focus on all the action from the previous weekend, including Anderlecht's impressive win over Zulte Waragem, a controversial game in Mouscron, as well as a cup final preview between Genk and Standard Liege. 

Despite a lack of games in the Pro League this weekend, there were plenty of talking points from within Belgian football. The trio talk about the long awaited return of Union St Gilloise, who ended a 48 year absence from the top flight this weekend.
