From Cary, NC to playing sports with Future college great basketball players Even Umstead has been through it all. Playing with players like Luke May in high school, really help shape the player Even became to be.

Through the ups and downs a sport can have and to throw in a world pandemic; recruiting for all sports took a hit. This happened to Gabby with covid affecting recruiting and the looming idea of being a normal college student in the back of her mind; she fought through all the doubts and adversity to become a collegiate cheerleader! She is a model for the type of people ECU Athletics look for!

Growing up in Greenville, NC the only place to go was to East Carolina University. On top of that is to play college basketball there! From being a manager to becoming a walk on and then getting minutes in his senior season; this is a story on how to keep pushing forward to accomplish a dream.

How do you respond to a life changing event. Highly recruited baseball athlete, Parker Byrd, going into his freshman season at East Carolina University was in a boating accident.
