Most people can't afford to pay for their kids to go to college, but many at least try, and some foot the full bill. Our discussion starts at the basic question... Is this even the right way to look at it? Even if you have the means for college is that the right message? And if you don't have the means, should you put aside your own well being to save for college? Yes we actually talked about this...

We can't win all the time. In fact we're going to accumulate the L's most of our lives. Teaching our kids to deal with losing effectively and even embracing losing as a learning opportunity is part of a dad's responsibility.

Our kids have a lot to do, and the things they have to do (like year-round sports) are more demanding of their time than ever. So are our kids overscheduled? Or... If they don't have enough to do will they be sitting on the couch playing too much Playstation? Or on their phone? A discussion for dads dealing with overscheduled kids (or not enough schedule).
