All of us need salvation. Most of us will admit it at least at times. Peter joins the Salvation chorus of scripture as he ministers to the exiles in Asia Minor and to us. God's Salvation is for us today, not just for our eternal destiny, but for our everyday lives. 

The Apostle Peter lived in times just as desperate as we do today. He ministered to people who were confused about their circumstances, struggling with doubts about God and trying to survive in a hostile world. Peter begins addressing these folks with a a reminder of God's mercy and of God's power. 

This podcast is on Peter's greeting to churches in Asia Minor (modern Turkey). The introduction immediately lets us know that Peter's audience are living in difficult circumstances. He quickly seeks to bring comfort and assurance to them.
