36.) Summit Sessions #1: Single-Season Winter 46 with Jonathan Zaharek 06.03.2020

In this Summit Sessions I'll speak with Joanthan Zaharek about his Single-Season Winter 46 attempt along with winter camping and why he has to complete the winter 46 in a single season.

35.) The Lower Great Range Revisited: The Winter Edition 28.02.2020

Today I'm back on the Lower Great Range hitting Sawteeth, Pyramid, Gothics, Armstrong, Upper Wolfjaw, and Lower Wolfjaw. However some cramping may cut the day short unless I decide to push through.

34.) Owl's Head: A Local Favorite 21.02.2020

Today's spontaneous weekday afternoon adventure would take me up local-favorite Owl's Head just off route 73 between Lake Placid and Keene. This trail is closed on weekends so despite the 50mph wind gusts and fresh morning snow it was as good a time as any to visit this little Adirondack gem.

33.) Bonus Episode- Live From the Trail: Marcy, Skylight, and Gray: The Winter Edition 14.02.2020

Another Live From the Trail episode where I'll take you up and down the mountains on this entire hike solely from audio recorded in the moment out on the trail.

32.) Marcy, Skylight, and Gray Revisited: The Winter Edition 14.02.2020

19 miles, 5000 feet of gain, and a winter sunrise on top of the highest mountain in New York State? Sounds like a fun (and early) day on the trail to me! I'll even take a trip back through the infamous floating logs. Pick up my new 140+ page High Peaks eBook, "From 1-to-46: A Complete Guide to Climbing the 46 High Peaks". Available now at www.46of46.com . Click on the eBook tab and download to you...

31.) Phelps and Tabletop Revisited: The Winter Edition 31.01.2020

Today's adventure into the high peaks takes me to the North Pole-like summit of Tabletop Mountain and then over to Phelps Mountain where I'll take in a flawless Adirondack sunset before hiking back out of the woods via head lamp. A perfect winter day in the backcountry. Pick up my new 140+ page High Peaks eBook, "From 1-to-46: A Complete Guide to Climbing the 46 High Peaks". Available now at www.4...

30.) Rooster Comb Mountain: Short But Sweet 25.01.2020

Rooster Comb Mountain, located in Keene Valley, is an awesome shorter peak in the Adirondacks that boasts huge views of the valley and many High Peaks that can be hiked in just a couple of hours...or spontaneously on my drive out of town, such as today.

29.) Big Slide Revisited: The Winter Edition 18.01.2020

Big Slide Mountain, the mountain where I finished my ADK 46'er journey on. Time to revisit this majestic peak this time in sub-zero temperatures as we chase the sunrise at the summit. It was a winter high peaks hike to remember thats for sure. 28.) Street and Nye Revisited: The 7 Sections of Street and Nye 20.12.2019

Revisited- Street and Nye. In this episode I revisit Street and Nye and break down this rugged Adirondack high peaks hike into 7 sections...and I may even accidentally hurt myself yet again on this very same hike.

27.) Moose Mountain: The Lost 9'er 11.10.2019

Part of the old Shore Owners Association (SOA) Trail system in Lake Placid, Moose Mountain is a rarely traveled ADK gem sitting taller than multiple high peaks at 3898’. A unique and mysterious mountain like no other that offers everything one could want in a rugged Adirondack hike.

26.) Bonus Episode- Live From the Trail: The Fulton Chain Trifecta 03.07.2019

This Bonus "Live From the Trail" Episode will take the listener on my Fulton Chain Trifecta journey start to finish as I experienced it on the trail with the story being told solely from audio recorded on the trail. Rocky Mountain, Black Bear Mountain, Bald Mountain. Music from Audionautix- www.audionautix.com

25.) The Fulton Chain Trifecta: Rocky Mountain, Black Bear Mountain, Bald Mountain 03.07.2019

The Fulton Chain Trifecta is an Adirondack hiking challenge based in the Old Forge region of the Western Adirondacks consisting of Rocky Mountain, Black Bear Mountain, and Bald Mountain. A great challenge made up of smaller peaks in the region with excellent views of the nearby lakes and mountains. Since I was coincidentally working in Old Forge for a few days I had my hiking gear with me and was...

24.) Bonus Episode- Live From the Trail: Jay Mountain 07.06.2019

Bonus Episode. This "Live From the Trail" episode is told exclusively via audio I recorded while I was on the trail. The episode takes you on the mountain with me from the sign-in to the summit and back again. Here the hike in real time exactly as I experienced it. Music Provided by: Audionautix- https://audionautix.com

23.) Jay Mountain: The Highway in the Sky 07.06.2019

It was a beautiful Spring day and I finally had the chance to make it out to Jay Mountain to experience the infamous "highway in the sky" ridge walk I have heard so much about. It was even better than I could have ever imagined! Jay Mountain is located in the Jay Mountain Wilderness and is just under 3600' elevation in the Adirondack Mountains of New York.

22.) Winter LP9'er: Bear Den Mountain and Catamount Mountain 17.05.2019

My final hike to become a Winter Lake Placid 9'er. Bear Den and the always confusing beast of a mountain known as Catamount. This hike had its share of issues, so much so that I almost quit winter hiking all together while hiking up Bear Den.

21.) Winter LP9'er: Hurricane Mountain 17.05.2019

Hurricane Mountain would live up to its name today as Josh and I tackle this epic peak in 60mph winds for Lake Placid Winter 9'er #7/9. White out conditions on the summer where I could barely stay standing up, but it sure made for an adventurous winter day on the trail.

20.) Winter LP9'er: Pitchoff Mountain 17.05.2019

Time for another local favorite, Pitchoff Mountain for Winter LP9'er #6/9. Standing 3500' elevation, this mountain would give us a scare as Wilson the Silver Lab almost slid right off the mountain thanks to the ice along the ledges.

19.) Winter LP9'er: Mt Jo and Mt Van Hoevenberg 17.05.2019

As I continue hiking my way through the Lake Placid 9'er Winter Challenge today I hiked up local Adirondack favorites, Mt Jo and Mt Van Hoevenberg for LP9 #4 and 5. I brought my dog, Wilson the Silver Lab, along for the hike today and would somehow lose things out of my pocket on both mountains.

18.) Winter LP9'er: Big Crow, Baxter Mountain, Cobble Hill 17.05.2019

Day 1 of the Lake Placid 9'er Winter Challenge. This season has me tackling the winter LP9'er starting with a sunrise hike on Christmas Eve up Big Crow Mountain and Baxter Mountain, followed by a Christmas day hike up Cobble Hill for Winter LP9'er #1, 2, and 3 of 9. Winter hiking sure is a whole different animal than summer hiking. Music Credits: "Jingle Bell Rock" by Bobby Helms / "Santa Clause i...

September 3rd, 2018. Labor Day. After a long summer of hiking in the Adirondack Mountains a life-long dream will be fulfilled as I become an Adirondack 46'er on Big Slide Mountain. My 16th day hike for High Peak #46 of 46. A perfect ending to an amazing adventure. Thanks for listening! 15.) Allen Mountain 07.03.2019

Allen Mountain lies deep into the Adirondack wilderness, requiring an 8 mile approach just to the base of the peak. A mountain many (including myself) put off until the end; however I found this mountain to be one of my favorite hikes of the summer on my 15th hike for High Peak #45 of 46. 14.) The Seward Range: Donaldson, Emmons, Seward, and Seymour 07.03.2019

My 14th hike and my last big day has me hitting all 4 peaks of the Seward range after driving straight to the trailhead overnight from New York City for High Peaks #41, 42, 43, and 44. 13.) The Santanoni Range: Panther, Couchsachraga, Santanoni 07.03.2019

The Santanoni Range solo at 4am? Sure, why not? Up next was one of the most remote ranges in the Adirondacks on my 13th hike for High Peaks #38, 39, and 40. 11.) Colden and Marshall 07.03.2019

Just five day after the longest hike of my life—after swearing I was taking 3 weeks off from hiking—I was back at the Adirondack Loj ready to hike fan-favorite Mt Colden and the often confusing Mt Marshall on my 11th hike for High Peaks #33 and 34.
