Today was the ShireCon #1, and it was a blast. Huge props to Thom Wilson. I ran a game of Swords & Wizardry Light today and I discuss on this episode my thoughts on running a successful convention RPG session.

In the past few days, there has been some concern over the perceived lack of content on the blogside (tenkarstavern.com) and the moving of much of my gaming talk to the podcast. I address the concerns while offering no true solutions. Sucks, don't it? ;)

I ramble on about the importance of the journey (playing the campaign) and the destination (completing the campaign) in my games.

The most memorable magic items your players' characters will find in their travels are the ones the players haven't seen before. Unique and useful magic items will stay with the characters even as they grow in level.
