Tao of Our understanding Alcohol Recovery Podcast

Religion EN ↓ 399 episodes

In this podcast, we discuss mystical works of literature, primarily Taoist text, and how they relate to alcohol recovery. Taoist Philosophy can be an excellent tool for embracing the idea of a "Higher Power." Nature offers all of the examples necessary for a concept of a source of all life, much different but yet very similar in many ways to more traditional religious thinking. Chuang Tzu – The Lost Pearl! 01.01.2021

We search everywhere for what we think will make us happy. If we are fortunate, we find that we had what we were really in need of all along. Chuang Tzu – How Deep Is Tao! 18.12.2020

We also discussed describing the path and walking the path being similar to describing how a strawberry tastes versus tasting a strawberry. Trudging the road OF happy destiny, not TO happy destiny. Chuang Tzu – Leaving Things Alone! 21.11.2020

Chuang Tzu – What Would a Taoist Pray and Cracking the Safe! 14.11.2020

Before our discussion of this story, we discussed prayer - what we thought a Taoist would pray. Concerning the story, we talked about how our fears keep us trapped into making decisions we believe are protecting us that are actually causing harm. We also talked about freedom in the same light as fear in our decision makings. Decisions we make that we think are leading us to freedom, that are inste...

Chuang Tzu – Two Kings and No-Form! 06.11.2020

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. A good discussion of how difficult it is to let go and let God. The more we try to fix and control, the bigger mess we make. Many times we kill what we are trying to improve – regardless of our motive. Contact us at Wisdom56321@gmail.com Join our private Facebook group and continue the conversation!
