Tangent City

The Unscripted crew have done their top ten and bottom five films of the year so we thought it’d be fun to hear across the generations and around the world about films people loved in 2019 and what they’re looking forward to in 2020 as we embark on a new decade!

Cecilia, Chris, Lewis, Rachele and Kat find out they're one degree away from Mark Ruffalo before getting on track (okay, track-ish) to take a look at movies based on real events, which is kind of a Tom Hank's retrospective when you think about it…

Inspired by the recent release of Ford v Ferrari, Chris joins Rachele, Cecilia, Lewis and Kat to talk about car movies…..and maybe a little napping during car movies.

The fruit trees in Rachele's garden are happy, the sand pile has been taken care of and so we have time to lady-splain the remainder of the anniversaries list to Lewis....and work out the difference between an inncubus and a succubus.

In a moment of self discovery, we work out why we talk about movies more than cars. We also feel as old as woolly mammoths emerging from the melting permafrost when we start going through a list of movies that are passing significant milestones in 2019.

While the rainbow we start with isn't what you'd expect, in this 1st anniversary show we soon head down the yellow brick road and exposure of explitation as we talk openly about Judy. Contains sexual references, swearing and may take the shine off The Wizard of Oz.

Like naughty kids getting up for a midnight snack, Lewis and Kat came home from Joker and couldn't help but get the mics out to record an episode. There's a lot of spoiler bell, slightly less trailers and strangely no swearing.

Amongst all the talk of ASMR podcasts, going Up the Rabbit Hole and planting the seed for an addiction to Lip Synch Battle, we talk about evil kids in movies.

You may only listen to this episode AFTER seeing Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. After exploring the wonders of squirrels and floating (it's a miracle we didn't end up on an otter tangent) we talk Tarantino.

It took three episodes but we finally got here. We're off the rabbit holes and talking food movies.

Despite Kat's attempt to get the show introduced and on track in the first three minutes, we ended up on a tangent as soon as the mics came on. From Terminators to Jane Foster as Thor, we hope you enjoy!

Cecilia, Rachele, Lewis and Kat started walking through the field of this episode all tra-la-la then somehow ended up diving head-first into a rabbit hole filled with tangents. This episode has received a nomination for Tangent of the Year.

Rachele and Kat both had a day off so took the chance to sit down and talk about funny women in film. While they almost made it swear free (Kat drops an S bomb at the end) they do talk about farting and boobs.

With Rachele off sick, we decided to take a look at what we watch when we're feeling under the weather. There's actually not much swearing and no spoilers in this episode, but the Tangent level is pretty high!

Yeah, we know the plural for series is series, but we seriously needed to sit down with a glass of riesling and talk about our favourite film franchises following Endgame.

Lewis gets us all a glass of wine, Cecilia explains the multipurpose value of ridesharing apps and then we head to the nineties.

Rachele, Lewis and Kat talk unabashedly about Avengers Endgame with spoilers and tears that the end of the Infinity Saga induced. If you're not up for vegetables, tears, spoilers or swearing then this one may not be for you...

After talking about cancer-causing coffee cups and opening some english lollies, the Tangent City crew jump onto the train and head to a stop they'll probably visit again - soundtracks.

After sorting out what's wrong with Perth traffic, The Tangent City crew get their perms and big acrylic spectacles on to talk about the 80s in film and TV.

The Tangent City crew have packed their bags (with two chihuahuas and a bottle of champagne) and jumped on the train to talk about Jodie Foster.

The microphones come out and we talk Steven Spielberg, but not before a talk about some good old fashioned phobias. There is a little swearing, but nothing too OTT.

There are spoilers and a little bit of swearing as Rachele, Lewis and Kat get stuck in with a spoiler discussion about Captain Marvel.

After discovering why Yahava is coffee worth trying and trying to find A Star is Porn, the Tangent City Crew head off down the rabbit hole of podcasts because they were fans long before they had podcasts of their own!

What's the collective noun for a group of A Star is Born movies, anyway? We go deep dive into the four versions we could watch. We swear a little and we spoil a lot.
